SS has stopped indexing for around 1.5 days (search category general)

Hello,

SS seems to have stopped completely, or at least it is not indexing anything. In the general category the newest entries are 1.5 days old.

SS responds normally, but has no new information. When can we expect a fix?

No, but thank you...

I am using NL for quite a time, and I still think it has potential. But last year, running from mid 2009 to mid 2010, I did only beta testing for you. No new stable release, only old crap, and an endless succession of betas with endless annoyance. Sorry. Can your SS, I wont renew now. Maybe later. M...

Still the NL folders inside of my download folders are not deleled. Please move these folders outside the download tree!!! Cases I found, where the folder is not deleted until NL exits: 1) If you try to download files, which have identical names, either the same file or another files which has the s...

Bug in header download - persists until b17

There is a massive bug with NL, since compressed headers were introduced until beta 17: Here my setup: XP Prof SP3, NL beta 17, Giganews (encrypted). I do not use the Giganews tool, i.e. NL connects directly. Sometimes various groups seem either to forget their cache state, or something is read inco...

About the possibilty to 'preview' large downloads

Another pet peeve of mine with the new download mechanism: If I have a large binary post, for example a movie clip (abc.avi), posted not in parts, but as one file (i.e. no set in NL, there is only one file), then sometimes I want to download and look at the first few MB of the movie clip. (Several m...

Folder 'newsleecher temporary' not deleted and error in download

Release Beta 17 If I download any file twice, then NL tries to rename the second copy with .1, i.e. original file car_audi.jpg new file car_audi.1.jpg The second copy is sometimes unreadable (error in JPG header) and NL does not delete its silly folder. (In the case where I found this, I had a file ...

Unknown sender ... - see post above

Same issue here: Click on an entry in SS (entry is a set) and SS fetches the headers, but when it is about to store to NZB, the message Unknown sender (546). Please report to author. pops up and no NZB is stored. If I open the set (+) and select the individual contents of the set, it seems to work. ...

Too expensive???? $29.99 per year for both Supersearch and NewsLeacher is too expensive? Gee, sounds like a pretty good deal to me! $2.50 / month $0.57 / week $0.08 / day (yes, that’s 8 cents per day). I bet you waste 8 cents per day just by running the air conditioner in your house to low or by ac...

Temporary folder in download folder - new since beta 12

Hello, I do not like this 'feature'. Not a bit. Why? I usually delete the entire download folder for a group, when I am done with it. This must work while Newsleecher is still running. This silly temporary folder inside prevents that now. Its extremely annoying. Also there is a security problem: Thi...
