Not sure if it's just me but the auto update doesn't work on the new beta
This was also the case on the UFR test versions I tried

Re: Newsleecher V8 Beta Release - Timeline
The only solution I ever found for the pause while writing to storage device was to enable the Postpone RAR Unpacking while downloading option
None of the exclude processes or directory options in my AV ever worked and I run 5 Samsung 860 Evo 250GB SSD's in raid 5

Re: Newsleecher V8 Beta Release - Timeline
Been trying out ufr5 and it works quite well Issues i've noticed so far are auto update does not work and I also get occasional bot freezing which requires a manual reset to complete downloads this is on Windows 10 x64 machine EDIT : Reset hanging bots is set to 60 seconds - reduced it to 30 in adva...

Re: Newsleecher V8 Beta Release - Timeline
A suitable alternative would be this
https://sabnzbd.org/downloads (free)
Coupled with a dedicated index site such as Nzbplanet because SuperSerach/Leech are now useless due to pretty much all posts switching to obfuscation and various other means

Re: Newsleecher V8 Beta Release - Timeline
Usenet is a mess these days and I doubt having a new version is going to solve that for anybody Most posts are now either obfuscated password protected or posted across multiple groups All I'm interested in is bug fixes which get bugger all attention as far as I can tell :\ If you just migrated V7 F...

Export to Multiple NZB's
I'd like if possible the function of being able to create multiple NZB's at the same time i.e selecting several posts at the same time then having newsleecher generate an individual NZB for each post At the moment newsleecher will only create one NZB and group all selected articles within that singl...

Re: Temporaily paused while writing download data to the....
Was getting this issue myself quite a lot in windows 7 and even more so in windows 10
Adding newsleecher as an exception in windows defender seems to have resolved the issue for me

I had to add newsleecher as an exception in windows defender
I was getting loads of not responding issues and paused downloads
Seems ok now

Re: Lots of errors/bugs - beta 5 :-)
edit: By the way, is there a minimum number of days of headers that you have to have cached in a.b.teevee to trigger the bug ? If you wipe the cache, fetch only 7 days of a.b.teevee headers, does the bug still trigger ? For me it happens on more groups than just a.b.teevee All are are part of a vir...

Re: Lots of errors/bugs - beta 5 :-)
First, I tried the clear the cache option, but errors reoccured. Then I deleted the three files in the newsleecher\data\cachv4\groups folder (the .nlc, nli, nlm files) that apply to the problem newsgroup. Cheers for that mate it worked for me =D> Seems in my case only a.b.boneless and a.b.movies wh...

Nice to receive a reply that recognises the issue
Sounds like a fix is gonna be a while though

Re: Maximize header download speeds
So basically you're telling me that your USP allows you to download compressed headers at your maximum bandwidth I've never seen that regardless of which provider I've used and I've tested a lot since the introduction of DMCA so a heads up on who you use to achieve this would be fantastic :) Regardl...

Re: Maximize header download speeds
My USP does support header compression however when enabled fetching is done at a reduced speed compared to when it is disabled Also my findings are that download speeds spike a lot the more that filters are applied with few or no filters applied fetching speeds run smoothly and at a higher speed wi...
