Why is it always that for something to get fixed, something else has to get broken? It was bad enough when you removed the simple dropdown group selection menu bar and replaced it with the silly icon in the articles tab. Then it was bad enough when you moved the silly little icon all the way over to...

I asked this yesterday. It's now a silly little icon in the articles tab. I really hate this "improvement". Before, as soon as I opened the program, I knew exactly where to click to select a group, now you have to go looking for the little icon and there's also no way to see at a glance what group y...

Thanks. I did read it, but I didn't see that. I don't understand in what way this is an improvement, it was pretty intuitive the way it was, now the pulldown menu is a little icon in the articles tab.

Active Group menu missing in beta 3

Just installed beta 3 and found that the active group drop-down menu is missing. Seeing as it is the only way I ever activate groups, I noticed this straight away. It is still checked in the right-click toolbars options.

I also don't like the new method. How about a compromise: If you select a group from the pull-down menu, only that group will be selected. If you want multiple groups you can select them with the checkboxes in the GNP. By the way, the "deactivate all active groups" option in the pull-down menu no lo...

There seems to be a small problem with downloading headers from groups with a very small number of headers. I tried to update a group which only had 1 header, and it would not do the update and eventually times out. This only happens when header compression is enabled.

Using astraweb, the header downloads are much faster now, but performance of the articles view is very slow and severely affects the speed of header downloads. So if you want maximum speed when downloading headers, switch to the explorer tab while they are downloading. Also lost the ability to scrol...

I get this when opening NewsLeecher. Try waiting a minute and see if it starts responding again.

Have to agree, this should have been implemented a long time ago, as from what I read it is a very simple code to implement. I feel your pain downloading headers, I am also on astraweb and downloading 365 days of headers from alt.binaries.multimedia and some others took about 10 hours, had to do it ...

The 2 most annoying bugs for me right now are: 1. In the explorer tab, Newsleecher isn't remembering which field files are sorted by. You can sort, but whenever you go into a folder or restart Newsleecher, it is back to sort by name field. 2. RnE is sometimes not stamping extracted files with the co...
