I would not be surprised if this facility is running on a Windows XP class PC under someone's desk.

 Haha, my thoughts exactly.

Re: Logged out, can't log back in

Always keep a back up of v2 files, very handy if you format and you don't want to spend hours ignoring subjects, posters, the blocked list etc etc. ;)
Just run NL once, enter your details [if it works of course] once registered just overwrite the existing files in users\appdata\roaming\newsleecher

Doesn't seem to work very well from what I've seen taken down. ;)

Re: Cannot use Supersearch; time-out?

I use SABnzb daily, all you need are the nzb's and it's way more simple, easy to use, unpacks automatically etc. Just need a newsreader to de-obfuscate stuff and that would be me sorted. I have been using NewsLeecher from day one, but I get the feeling the creator[s] have moved on or just got fed up...

It's only a gold mine until it isn't any more. We collectively can influence that by moving on.

Any ideas on that?

Re: Cannot use Supersearch; time-out?

Sadly you can't see when the admin was last on line, either they see it and ignore it, or they have other things to do rather than worry about their gold mine. ;)

Re: Quit Newsleecher when downloads complete

If it helps I have never seen that feature and I have been using it from day one.
Not saying it's not there, but if it is good luck finding it. ;)

Re: How To Fix The Common Problems of Amazon Echo & Kindle?

Scuba is pretty much the only person visiting here when he can.
I think everyone else has given up on this place and NewsLeecher in general.

Sad to say this is more than likely and I do miss Newzbin. :(

Everything you say is more than likely true.

Re: Seriously, is NewsLeecher DYING... or DEAD?

SABnzbd

Its web based and so easy to use its untrue, automatically unpacks stuff too.
It doesn't have everything NewsLeecher does, but I'm using it more than ever, you just need an nzb and you're away.
