Re: Standalone / non-install version

So, you still need to have an istalled version. Are you sure that there is no need for registry entries?

Re: Standalone / non-install version

Let's resurrect this thread after 9 years...

Now, Newsleecher 7.0 is installable without purchase ( without some features ), is it possible that we could have a portable version?!?

While he really did that, I think everyone is missing the point. Is he right?!?

Re: server not connecting..

Well, it's really weird. When testing via Sabnzbd interface it says: [Errno 61] Failed to connect: (60, '[Errno 65] No route to host') -1@eu.newsleecher.com:563 But if I check the member area it shows I downloaded 11,33 GB.. I'm using it as secondary source ( primary is astraweb ).. So I'm not sure ...

server not connecting..

While I can ping it from command line. sabnzbd says there's no route to host.

I could connect to other nntp servers without any problem with sabnzbd.. Is there a problem with servers?

BTW, I'm talking about newsleecher's usenet servers of course...

Is this even looked upon? I didn't see any reply to this post and it's damn annoying to download this corrupted files through another binary news reader. Now in newer versions Newsleecher automatically merge files but don't mind the correct part location.. (I had to run QuickPar to fix wrong merged ...

Well, I don't really use Linux but if you programmed with Delphi, could it not be possible to adapt it to Kylix (Delphi Linux Platform)? Isn't Kylix just the developing enviroment and not the actual compiler for Linux programs? Besides, as I stated before, there are too many Windows APIs used to re...

Hmm.. Well, I don't think there would be files higher than 300-400 MB but, RAM drive or Flash would probably restrict maximum file size. RAM drive wouldn't be acceptable. Because it would take away system memory for only Newsleecher usage and this of course wouldn't be good for multitasking users.. ...

Newsleecher 3.9b11 RnE split file bug..

Well, when I heard finally split files issue is resolved, I rejoiced.. But it didn't last long.. I mostly download anime from Usenet. And most of them are split files in a.b.multimedia.anime or a.b.anime groups.. Also after download I'm scanning them with an application named AniDB'o'Matic to automa...

Full sized incomplete files.

Well, this is just an idea but, is there some way to position parts on incomplete files on correct position? I think there is an option in Alt.Binz program doing this thing. Why is it needed? Simple: I'm mostly using Usenet for Anime download and there are a lot of multipart files (not RAR) in anime...

Yeah, well, right... It seemed to fix the problem at first. But when I set the data directory (I'm not using default one) everything came back (server, groups, contents vs..) but also the error too :) I saw some weird things about this error.. First, it doesn't always happen. It does popup when: - W...

Well, I also got this error before.. And, yes deleting configuration files solves this problem.. But is there any way to fix this problem without deleting all configuration files? Or I could ask this way. Could anyone make a tool to check configuration files to find the one with this problem.. I don...

Skip file if already downloaded.. Weak!

Well, I was using NewsBin before NewsLeecher.. I'm downloading all files from a.b.pictures.manga group and I have no time to check if the file is already downloaded or not.. NewsBin was checking the CRC of the first part for "same check"... And it was great.. Why? Because in a.b.p.m, files are repos...
