Re: Dual board

Good luck! At this point, given the lack of communication from Spiril, Scuba et al, I highly suspect that payment processes are broken and may not even be under their ownership anymore.

Re: Website flagged as UNSAFE!

A valid option, although in this particular case, is it worth it? I think we know the answer.

Re: Website flagged as UNSAFE!

I also received a similar warning from Chrome and Bitdefender. If the cert on the website is not being maintained, that speaks volumes to the likelihood that Spiril, Scuba et al have walked away.

Re: Why am I an eternal optimist? A users thoughts!

I agree with these sentiments. The irony is that without much effort, Spiril, Scuba et al could have kept NL functional and relevant without boiling the ocean (which V8 appears to be). There are definitely some new functions that were needed, but they likely could have been added to the existing app...

And already 8 days later, and so far no old content being updated yet. There should already be a trickle at least of this indexed content coming back in. Hello Newsleecher, please provide updated timelines to your customers........ 8-[ :^o Not sure what Scuba and the gang are up to, but I think we'...

Re: IS THIS EVEN MONITORED??? Down all day now. Should I Still Pay$$

I violently agree with your opinion. The response you're "enjoying" with Super Search is very similar to the speed with which the beta is being actively developed. I honestly don't think those who are responsible for app and the service really care any more. They can say what they want, but actions ...

Agreed, but we'll never see another version of the beta.

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: Temporarily paused while writing downloaded data to storage device

In my experience, V7 has never reacted this way to fast DL speeds. IMHO, V8 still has some significant bugs that need to be fixed. I still maintain that there is no further development happening on V8. It is dead.

Re: SuperSearch down? Was working earlier today

It is down. Given that Scuba et al don't communicate with us, who knows why and for how long it will be down.

Re: How Do we know the SuperSearch is Working

Frustrating. From a hardware perspective, there is no excuse for the service going down unless it is network connectivity. For software, the service can also be operated in a cluster, if it has been properly architected.

Re: Has the V8 beta died?

I agree that NL7 is fine, and I still use it. I'm not in a rush, but it's about communication, commitment and follow-through. The minute that these guys started to receive our hard-earned money, they changed from being amateurs to professionals. My expectation of a professional is very different fro...

Has the V8 beta died?

The most recent beta (as posted on this site) came out before Christmas. Please feel free to check the date. Here we are now enjoying summer temperatures. I would suggest that it is reasonable to assume that there will be no further versions of that beta being released, and that further work on it h...

Agreed. This is often caused by either corrupt queue, or a corrupted item in the queue.

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: Cannot disable spam detection

I'd say there is no chance that the issue you refer to will be fixed, and certainly no likelihood that we'll see any progress on 8.0. Sadly, we've all been here before.
