Re: licence ??

What does it tell you to update, specifically?

Re: 502 authentication failed

Do you use NL Usenet service, or just the software? NZBPlanet is irrelevant.

Re: selected files won't download but queue up

If you add something new to the queue, will it start to download that?

Re: selected files won't download but queue up

Do you have servers set up? Are the "bots" paused? Is NewsLeecher itself paused (even if the queued items are not)?

Re: Download to different a drive instead of final file loca

Set the download folder to your local array. And use the Destination Folders function to change where the final files are extracted to. You need at least 7.0b1 to use this feature.

Re: Pausing Newsleecher temporarily

This is an old problem and still exists in the latest beta.

You may want to open resmon and watch the activity on the Disk tab. It may help Spiril find the issue once and for all.

Re: new spamming method via "If_you_get_error.txt"

Those are the posts I was referring to, and they will in fact be marked as spam. The only issue is that NL won't know there's an EXE until it downloads the one rar part that contains the exe. There's no way around that. But NL will then mark it as spam.

Re: new spamming method via "If_you_get_error.txt"

These posts already get marked as spam because they do contain exe files. Unless one of you is talking about something completely different...

Re: DPI Scaling & 4K Monitors

Scaling is very different from running non-native resolutions. You could use 1080p on a 4K monitor, which is a non-native resolution, and have perfectly clear fonts without scaling, but then obviously it's no better than just using a 1080p monitor... At full 4K resolution though without scaling font...

Re: DPI Scaling & 4K Monitors

Just out of curiosity, did you not know about this issue before buying your 4K monitor? It's a very common problem in a lot of programs because they were not designed with scaling in mind. In most cases the UI for a program needs to be completely rebuilt to properly support scaling.

Re: Filter dead links?

I'm not attacking you. I'm informing you that you can't expect to get everything for free and not have to work for it a little... If you are not willing to do that work in getting a second or even third backup server, then your only choice it to get your content legally. This is the state of Usenet.

Re: Filter dead links?

It doesn't *matter* if any one particular server doesn't have a certain article (or thousands of articles). Other servers DO still have it (them). This is why removing or marking them in SS results is pointless. Not to mention the immense load it would create on the SS servers. I think a 2nd news se...
