Subject and Poster exclude/include boxes have been combined since you can use AND, OR, NOT.
So how exactly does that actually work? eg. xmen AND poster=elite ???

Temp Files to Virtual Ram Drive

Hi All, I have created a Ram Drive (1GB out of 6GB RAM) and want to use it for newsleecher so that when it is downloading a partial file it is save on that until it gets all the parts and then moves to the proper file location. I saw that there is an option for Newsleecher called tempory location - ...

I just use the Pause: Next x Hours option. Click on the down arrow next to the Pause button and pick one. This way I can still force NL to download during my off peak time without having to revert back to an older version. As in you set a time that will defintley be in offpeak time? as in if it now...

Yeah, its a pain to type stuff like minDays:XX instead of just typing the number into a box. I was always hoping to get those additional search-filter boxes for supersearch and the queue too, but no, now they're gone even for the article-tab. I quite agree with you. I was really hoping that we woul...

As you mentioned, they can still become corrupted. It has been requested that Newsleecher rotate the files it saves to so if it does crash and corrupted a file, you can restore the previous one. Who knows when this will be added though. Yes I have it already setup with the auto back-up option but I...

Periodical backup of queue

When newleecher crashes it sometimes wipes out the queue. What would be nice is to have the program save every 30mins the queue to another file that can be imported into the program. I konw it automatically save the main file but if the program fails to close properly it loses the whole thing.. It h...

Page Faults

Hi All,

Just wondering if it is normal for newsleecher to create soo much of page faults. In a period of 12 hours I have got about 8Million page faults. Is this normal? Using the latest version of newsleecher

found a tempory solution - to close the program, open it up again, turn of error checking, and then connect and it downloads all the 98% files. But if you leave the error checking off, it will still queue the files.
But at least i got some method working....

Try to download http://www.newsleecher.com/nl_a_test.exe and see if it fixes the bug. Note that you have to purge the cache of the groups which have the problem, before updating. Cheers Spiril Thanks Spiril - I think this version has fixed that problem - well so far no issues!!! and it has been abo...

The long ritual: Purging, unsubscribing, exiting, restarting, resubscribing, getting all headers...often does look like it's getting all headers. Unfortunately even a brief visit to another group will erase your headers. Evidently NL is not able to save them correctly to the cache file. Yes I think...
