Re: 7.0 Beta - Destination Folders missing features

If it matters... I 2nd that, please bring this feature back. Agreed. I'm really trying to understand how the features in 7.0 are an improvement over 6.5 So far, it doesn't seem like like the features in 7.0 make life easier. For the time being, I've reverted back to 6.5, and am quite happy with the...

Re: v7.0 Beta 1: NZB => Directory path

I'm in total agreement that this functionality is actually regressing from what what is in 6.x With 6.x, downloads BY DEFAULT went into a folder with the same name as the usenet group. That actually became helpful for nzb files, where the target group in the nzb file could be different from the post...

Re: Groups list

Is there a way to go back to the previous groups listing on the Articles tab? The new dropdown box is so cumbersome to that this beta is unusable for anyone with more than a couple groups. Absolutely agreed! I've just installed this latest beta as an attempt to move beyond v4.0. I'm not sure what w...

This was already mentioned in the beta2 thread, but is included here because beta3 was already out: "The biggest annoyance for me is when I do a leach-specify (CTRL-Y), it doesn't auto-populate the first field with the group-directory name. I have to select it from the drop-down box every time. It ...

The biggest annoyance for me is when I do a leach-specify (CTRL-Y), it doesn't auto-populate the first field with the group-directory name. I have to select it from the drop-down box every time. It remembers the field from the previous use, which is not what the old Newsleecher did (3.9). Agreed - ...

Quoth Spiril... That feature is already available. In the Settings>NZB Files screen, check the "Save NZB to subfolder" and a subfolder will be created based on the NZB name. Ahhh, but one feature that has not yet been re-implemented is the automatic ability with Ctrl-Y to select the folder associat...

Re: argument our of range - queue error - export error - etc.

Getting the same error under the same circumstances here. PLEASE fix this! I have tried the last three beta versions and I get the same problem. The original queue files cannot be used to download. Absolutely agreed on the "leech specify" request below. In fact, if the group that the item is from doesn't currently exist as a folder, then it won't be in the directory list that is presented. More importantly, this functionality used to exist! What happened? I'm a big fan of this application, but...

ok, it's a beta... but until when? We know that final releases of 3.9 doesn't work.. we're paying for betas? And now.. the date headers problem? Frak... that's not remotely serious, and not a word from the developers... Same problem here. Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a pretty fundame...

No - not if you are using a separate folder for each newsgroup. I find it helps to keep things organized. They are all subfolders off of the default download folder.

Beta 10 Leech Specify Problem

I notice that the reset button has now been removed, but I'd suggest that ctrl-y / leech specify is still not working properly. The default should be the folder that is defined for the group that you're downloading from. That doesn't appear to currently be the case. It was the case in 3.9.

I hate the reset button in leech specify!
Absolutely agreed. IMHO, it serves no purpose. Leech specify should always assume the folder that corresponds to the requested group. Or, just browse to the folder that's needed.
