The thing is, I can understand how folks would like the non-hidden panels, yet should have the option to auto-hide them if they prefer. I appreciate your candor on this, honestly. It takes a great dev to listen to users.

Hmm, I don't agree on that one. Having the frequently used input controls right aligned on the form is very non-standard. Also, unless you run at very high screen resolution, or only got one or two SS tabs open at a time, there isn't room on the toolbar for both the tabs and controls. I'll continue...

Here is the Supersearch tab. There are now 4 rows(toolbars), which makes the results window seem cramped, and makes the interface look huge and clunky. The "Newsleecher Supersearch Service" title bar is repeated. Shot #1 is the original, shot #2 I edited to make it seem more streamlined and efficien...

I am not trying to be impolite here, and do not mean to insult, however, the user interface has become huge and cluttered on even a 2048x1152 screen. It's ugly. It seems with each new release the interface becomes more ugly, taking up more screen real estate and wasting more resources. The icons are...

Suggestion: Advanced Message Filtering

Is it feasible to create advanced message filters such as the ability to block a poster ONLY if the message is less than a user specified size? How about block all messages less than a user specified size, but only if the attachment isn't a .nfo? How about blocking .exe attachments only? If these we...

I am at 2048x1152, so it's more of a convenience issue. It takes up no space at all when hidden, yet it is instantly there with a complete list of groups ready to be clicked, then gone again leaving this HUGE space for group browsing. I am a clean interface freak, I don't even like scroll bars. If I...

Begging: Auto Hide GNP Please

I am begging for the option to auto-hide the GNP to return. The drop down has the features, but the click through is inconvenient and awkward, in my opinion, no insult intended. It was so easy and the click through was logical and fast when the panel hid on it's own. As a long time paying user, I am...

There is a dropdown and it does unload all groups without the need to open the GNP:

Is there any chance at all that auto-hiding the GNP will return? Make it an option or advanced nerdy tweak? The drop down is nice, but it is still faster and more convenient to have a list in front of you that automatically hides when not being used. Please please? Beg beg? I'll buy you a nice dark ...

The checkboxes are here to stay, but functionality was added in B3 that allows you to double click a group to load it without checking a box. then the next group you double click will open and unload the previous group.

However, the group drop down is much faster and is single click.

I did, and yes it does get rid of the stars. Not of the checkboxes though ? It's in the release notes: "+: A few users seem to find it hard to get used to the new way NewsLeecher distinguishes "new" articles from "old" articles. So it's now possible to revert to the old way to visually distinguish ...
