Is SuperSearch Unencrypted?

Post by Mibbler » Mon Jul 17, 2017 3:08 am

I'm running Newsleecher 7.0 Final with SSL encryption enabled on port 563. I just signed up for your "Ready to Go" plan and, wouldn't you know, SuperSearch is down (the status page says you're migrating it to a new server). In researching it I looked at NL's News & Log tab. It says SS tried to connect on port 443, which suggests that searches are not encrypted. Is that correct? Is there a change I can make to enable encryption? I found the Advanced Tweak "SuperSearch Use Alternative Port" but that just switches it to port 23 which I assume is also unencrypted.
