Repair & Extract autorename feature like Quickpar does

Post by NicoLeOca » Sun May 26, 2013 3:28 pm

Hello,

As it seems that many poster change the name of their archive when they post, it would be nice if Newsleecher could automatically rename them in order to be able to verify, repair and extract directly then.
As of today, we have to rename the archives with Quickpar and then Newsleecher can detect them.

Hope we'll see this improvement soon

Regards

+1 for this. I have to keep quickpar open at the same time and set it on autorepair to rename the files as they are downloaded.

+1!!!

I'm sure many users are affected by this.

It's a pain to keep Quickpar open to perform the automatic renaming before Newsleecher will then extract the archive.

Please try to add this feature to a future beta release.

We are working on a new post-processing engine that will be able to handle this. I don't know when it will be available though.
Please be aware of and use the following pages...
Services Status Page : SuperSearch and Usenet Access server status, retention, server load, indexing time, etc.
Support Request Form : Use this if you have a problem with billing or account status. The forum is only for NewsLeecher application issues.

It will take forever like SuperBrowse just showing a few results of the first day.
