I agree. No problems here with W 10. Besides the already known bugs and problems with beta 7 :-)

I had to add newsleecher as an exception in windows defender
I was getting loads of not responding issues and paused downloads
Seems ok now

Same Problem, Speed is not higher as 1Mbps (7,5 is possible, tested at speedtest.net)...exception in defender does not help.

MFer! So pissed! Lost 24hrs of header downloading (cause SuperSearch is so reliable)
in big group from 3 servers.

Now ever program setting are screwed up. Server passwords & preferences are all gone.
All group headers are gone too!
So pissed!

Newsleecher was working quite fine on my windows 10 but the speed reduced with time and i actually tested it. The exception option in windows defender improved the speed a little but it's still not as high as in windows 7. Is there a solid solution to this because the speeds are quite unbearable at times.

Do you use any other anti virus/malware programs that could be slowing your speed down? (I've used NL may years with all versions of Windows 10 without any speed reduction (apart from rare server issues))

Everyone did. See the Feb 13 note w/update on the NewsLeecher News & Log tab.

It seems to be fixed for later entries but the corrupted articles may remain corrupted.

Hi guys
I know this has probably already been asked but i don't have a great understanding of news readers. I love newsleecher because i can import nzb files into it. I also find the auto par2 handling great although i can live without it. the main thing i need is to be able to import .nzb's. Anyone know of a good program?

SEE THE PICTURE BELOW for proper settings.

I have set my browser to download files (including NZB files) to my computer DESKTOP. You can change the folder your browser uses for downloads in your browser's "Settings". I download files to the "DESKTOP" so that I can always find them after downloading. I move them to whatever folder I want them permanently stored in later (or delete them after use).

Substitute whatever folder you use for browser downloads as the "Auto Import Folder".

You can set the "When Imported" drop down to automatically delete the NZB after NewsLeecher imports the NZB. I have it set to move the NZB(s) to a "DESKTOP\IMPORTED" subfolder (Auto Import Folder/Imported), in case I need to re-download the files contained in the NZB. I empty this folder occasionally (usually daily).

Note: In Windows 10 NewsLeecher will not automatically start when you download an NZB. NewsLeecher has to be running to "see" the NZB in the Auto Import Folder. I find this is actually a good thing, because, if you accidentally download the wrong NZB you can delete it before you start NewsLeecher. One other thing, you can download multiple NZBs then start NewsLeecher to download them all.

With the settings depicted in the picture below (and the download folder setting in my browser)...

1. When I download an NZB, my browser downloads the NZB to the DESKTOP,
2. Upon starting NewsLeecher, it automatically "sees" the NZB on the DESKTOP (Auto Import Folder) then,
3. NewsLeecher automatically loads the NZB into the program then,
4. Moves the NZB to the "Imported" folder and,
5. NewsLeecher downloads the files in the NZB as usual.
