Re: [v8.0 Beta 1] Unable to pause queue like v7

The global pause/resume is gone in v8, from what I can see. The pause/resume buttons in queue tab, only affects the selected queue items.

I would love the old global pause/resume feature back, include pause for x minutes - PLEASE :)

SuperSearch via command-line?

Is it possible to do a SuperSearch by calling NL via a commandline?

For example:
newsleecher.exe /SS=turtles smell bad

Thanks.

NL 5 questions

Installed NL 5 beta 5 today and have a few questions.... 1) The "list of subscribed groups" button in "Article tab" - can it be configured only to show group-folders and not every subscribed group? 2) The left-panel with groups-list in "articles" tab - can it be configured to work like NL4?, or mayb...

NL4 feature request : Open NFO

When NL4 detects a package/thread which contains a NFO, I would be nice (and a lot faster) if a "Open NFO" context menu item is available. In the current version, the user must first expand the package/thread and then locate the NFO entry and open it that way. NL4 should just open the NFO with the a...

I just installed 4.0 b3 over my old 3.95 data (copied to a new location) and it completely hangs when trying to fetch new headers. I have tried to delete the cache folders but still the same issue - FREEZE! Maybe a issue when fetching large numer of headers ? Is there a solution for this (besides re...

Bah... that's useless since I have many individual groups :(

Any plans to improve this in the near future, Spiril?

"flat" virtual group download folders?

I'm using both normal groups and virtual groups and want normal groups to download to subfolders named after the group and have virtual groups to download to folders named after the virtual group name and no sub-folders. Example: a.b.mp3 > c:\DL\a.b.mp3\ a.b.movies > c:\DL\a.b.movies\ Other > c:\DL\...

Beta 2 is VERY unstable on my system also... it have even crashed and closed down completely without errors a few times.

This may be the worst NL beta I have tried :( :( :(

Hoping for a beta 3 soon...

NL when idle (non-minimized) uses 2-3% on my PC (3.4 Ghz Intel CPU and 2 GB RAM).

When minimized 0%

EDIT: I'm not complaining about the CPU usage, I just thought I would mention my "stats" ;)

Strange... because beta 9 runs like crap on my PC ;( I was using beta 3 for a long time without any major problems but decided to upgrade to beta 8 (big mistake!!!). Beta 8 has some annoying bugs so I again upgraded to beta which came a few days later. This version is even worse... crashes, weird er...

Suggestion: better progressbar handling

When groups are selected (especially virtual groups), NL's progressbars are really "flickering" and non-instructive (you don't ever know how far the progress really is)... reminds me of the Mac scene in Office Space :) Yes, I know progressbars can be disabled completely in NL but I would prefer more...

No, but Red Dwarf did and you agreed with him in the other thread. No I didn't... why do you keep on insisting on this ??? Both you and "Red Dwarf" said it sounded like a corrupt file... I never agreed to this! You wrote... Sounds like a corrupt config file. AFAIK, there is no way to restore the ol...
