jeesh why not make it more obvious to users that RnE has these kind of problems!!! Koogle, you are currently using BETA versions of NL. There is no warranty or implied expectation that it will function correctly. We suggest you use the last final released version (v3.8) until a new final version (v...

Repair & Extract behaviour seems to have changed to deleting every file in the folder, instead of just removing the archive and par files. Back to the 3.9b1 behaviour of 6 months ago, then ... :( Is there any reaon why this basic functionality is taking so long to get right/fix? Other software - Wn...

1. When I click the Additional Filters button on the Super Search tab, I now get this error: Bug Data1: kjdfahh3 Bug Data2: '' is not a valid integer value 2. The Subject Filter box on the SS tab remains invisible at 800x600 resolution, i.e. drops off the right, can't be selected with 'More' arrow. ...

Re: RNE problems in b2, deletes files and gets stuck

Secondly, and more alarming I had several things tagged to download, when i woke up almost all my files were gone that it had downloaded. Here's what I have in my log below. Not sure why it put all these in the recycle bin but it did to this and 4 other downloads. *sigh* RnE will delete any non-rar...

Nope, you're computer clock is probably set to the wrong timezone or time. techfuzz It isn't, that would just be silly. Like most people's system clocks, I assume, it's automatically synchronised over the net. To clarify, when I do the following search, for example: group:alt.binaries.multimedia Th...

@Erikro It was reported and logged a while ago for 3.9b1 that RnE couldn't handle non-rar split files - see the first post of the other thread. It's Repair and Extract and not Repair and Join , after all. Nevertheless, I'm sure it will be added eventually. Sample avis, jpegs, mp3s, nfos, sfvs etc et...

SuperSearch Results - Age & Timezones

No doubt this has been posted before, but since search results are all timestamped with Central European Time (or so it seems), they're listed as an hour ahead of British Summer Time (GMT + 1). This means that anything posted within the last hour appears as 0 minutes, and therefore can't be properly...

I also agree that SuperSearch not converting all results to lowercase would be a good thing, but as this is probably how they're now stored on the server, I doubt we'll see any changes anytime soon. Who knows.

Try downloading to a nzb then clicking the nzb file. This method just worked for me. Sorry to be so blunt but what does using a .nzb file have to do with using SuperSearch? I think he means exporting search results to an NZB file, and then importing that. You still need to send a new request to the...

Even separate partitions on a single drive should improve performance quite a bit, because then at least the data is better organised, and fragmentatiion is kept to a minimum. It also means that you can set a small cluster size on the Windows partition (4 KB) and large clusters on the partition hold...

Re: 3.9 Beta 2 and SuperSearch Errors

I did not have this problem until I installed 3.9 Beta 2 It's just an unfortunate coincidence that three things happened at the same time: 1) 3.9b2 was released 2) the SuperSearch server became unstable, rejecting many requests 3) Spiril went on holiday, and so couldn't fix SS Check the SuperSearch...
