Is news.newsleecher.com broken? Almost all SuperSearch generate "Article not found"

All, what' going on with Newsleecher's NNTP archive? My wife missed some episodes of Outlander so I did a SuperSearch but almost every match gives "Article not found" errors for every piece of every archive! Just try Supersearch for outlander s02eXX where XX is 06-12. They're always bragging about t...

Move data directory to new computer

Hi. I've been running NL for a few years on a Mac using Crossover. Works pretty well but I'm getting rid of Crossover and just installed NL under Windows 7. However, I can't figure out how to migrate my date and settings. Here's what's under the virtual C: drive from the Crossover install that has a...

The ability to exclude other fields like poster and group in SuperSearch has been discussed previously and it will happen some day. It just isn't possible with the current search system. I know I just asked about this a week ago but thought I should also reply here since this is a really important ...

That's not good :( What about anchors in subject searches? How can I search (and exclude) a subject that ends in ".rar" - \.rar$ in regexp?

At the bottom of the Search History pull down menu is the Advanced Search option. You can get to it quickly by pressing F3 twice. This is available in the Articles, Queue, and SuperSearch screens. Please tell me how to exclude a poster from a SS. I've tried -Poster:xxx and Poster:-xxx and a few oth...

Re: Article Filters

IT IS NOT GONE 1. Click the Supersearch entry field (or in Articles Tab - Filter entry field) drop down arrow (right side of entry box), 2. Click on the "Advanced Searching" item, which is located at the bottom of the list of currently saved searches/filters in the drop down list. When there are a ...

Re: 5.0 beta3 SS Bookmarks incorrectly remembers Search Filter

SuperSearch Bookmarks incorrectly remembers Search Filter 1. type in stuff in the Search Box and in the Search Filter fields. 2. create a Bookmark for that search 3. type new stuff in the Search Box, clear text from the Search Filter 4. create a new Bookmark for that search. 5. click on the first B...

Supersearch on Mac

Hi all. Long-time NL/SS user. I switched to Macs a few months ago and got NL working under Crossover Office. I don't want to deal with Fusion or Parallels. Everything works except SuperSearch just sits there saying "initializing" forever. I gave up for a few months since a brand new version of Uniso...

Thanks for the new beta - look great. I'm running it on my Mac under CrossOver Office. This has worked since you fixed the oreans problem. However, SuperSearch still doesn't work in this configuration. It just sits there forever saying "initializing". Any ideas? David Registration hangs, too :(

Beta 10 works on Mac / Crossover Office!

Thanks so much for the quick fix! NL installed and runs just fine. I did the procedure listed in another thread: create Win98 bottle install minimal IE6 install NL It's great! I was able to register, download groups, download/auto-extract an archive. However.... you knew there was a however coming.....

Here a good idea. If compression on headers work for your provider.
And it's not posted already. Say who works, if it doesn't say so too.
Works on newshosting.com. Super fast!

3 months since last beta! What's going on?!?!?!?!

Spiril, Smudge - take a minute and let your paying customers know what the hell is going on please! 4b1 came out May 11 and 4b7 on July 15. That's 7 releases in about two months. Now it's been three months with zippo. I understand things can take time, but what's the point of beta releases if you do...

Is it worth rewening SuperSearch?

My Supersearch is about to expire. I've been using NL/SS for a few years and really like it, especially the new feature of combining multi-parts in searches. However, SS has been a real mess lately with incomplete/inconsistent results returned. This has been discussed in several threads, but there's...
