AVG is reporting that the exe of newsleecher contains a trojan.
Never any problems before. Can we have an explanation please. I've been a subscriber for something like 2 years and this is the first time I've had this problem.

A few problems (v3.7 Final)

Hi, Newsleecher will not close down fully if I want it to turn off computer when the articles have been downloaded. I get an 'End Program' dialogue box. This now stops me from being able to download stuff in the middle of the night as Newsleecher will keep the computer 'awake' with this dialogue box...

Re: Resume downloading after ISP disconnection?

How many servers are you using, and can all of them connect properly when you're connected? Hi, not sure if you mean servers or bots but I have only one newserver (giganews) and 10 bots (which are a new feature with them). If it helps, when I have full connectivity, all 10 bots (connections) work f...

Resume downloading after ISP disconnection?

Hi all, Due to recent problems with my ISP, I have been getting disconnected on a completely random basis for a matter of seconds. This has brought to light a question. If I am downloading a chunk of rar's and have to go to work, I will always set Newsleecher to shut down my computer when the downlo...

Funny I should decide to read the forum after all this time and found this topic as I have 1 year left on my standard licence. I first registered on the 13/06/04, giving me 1 year left. Am I right in thinking that if I go ahead now and register for Super Search, I will still have my 1 year left? Giv...

Hi, It has happened to me a few times now. The most recent example being the one I stated in a previous post. It may have been happening before but haven't noticed it until I discovered how useful the Super Search facility is. I would normally just download PAR sets to fill the missing parts. I can ...

Hi, I have been talking to tech support at UsenetServer and they told me that they do not support XPAT if this has something to do with it. Unfortunately, this doesn't explain to me why I can download complete parts through the Super Search but when updating a group it shows that the parts are incom...

There is something definately wrong here. Take the following filename, for example - 'gmz-csi'. Search for this in Super Search. I get a post from 'Person X'. All the parts are complete so far. I go into the actual group to find that parts 01, 09, 11 and 21 are showing as incomplete. I reset the gro...

If you reset the group (but first set the amount of headers NL should get at the first download), it would not surprise me at all if the your missing overviews show up. Well, you were right. I reset the group and the incomplete parts showed up as complete. Is this a bug? I never really noticed it b...

Have downloaded XNews and found that what Newsleecher is showing as incomplete in the group is fully available in XNews.
This appears to be a Newsleecher problem, not my provider or SS server issue.

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that I am able to download the files from within the Super Search results as complete when they are not complete in the actual group.

Files in search but not fully in group

Hi all, Noticed an odd thing happening. If I search for something using the Super Search facility then it might display full parts for a post. If I then go into the group and find the exact same post then I might find incomplete parts. I am using Newleecher v2.0 RC2 beta 9 with Usenetserver. What I ...

Having come from XNews, pressing the delete key marks the article as old and when refreshing the group, the ones selected get removed. From what you (Tigggger) have said, it sounds like NL has a similar feature but when I'm looking through a huge group and only find a small bunch of articles that I ...

Use Delete key to delete articles

As the subject says, really.
I would like to be able to highlight unwanted articles and simply press 'Delete' rather than have to right click on them and so on...

Cheers.
