Now showing that SS is down for maintenance - took rather a long time for that to appear. No mention on the home page of status, I think we deserve better service than this - communication is a fine thing. Trouble is that there seems to be a lack of it right now :(

Problem accessing NewsDemon server

I have been using Newsleecher for many years now, and have had no trouble configuring it for Giganews, Astraweb, Teranews or APN. None of these are encrypted. I have subscribed to NewsDemon unlimited on an encrypted service and simply cannot get a connection. Server address: europe-ssl.newsdemon.com...

Re: Filtering by file size

Click on the filter button next to the Quick Search windows. All your filters are back.

Super Search is fine if you know exactly what you want in all of the Usenet, but for browsing a specific group that may have hundreds of thousands of entries over a hundred days' worth of posts, being able to quickly define a smaller field of information to take in at once is practically a necessit...

Sometimes I makes changes if I think they'll benefit the app in the long run (make it less bloated, more streamlined, etc). But regarding the filter boxes I've probably made a mistake. I'll look into they'll return before the final. Thanks Spiril, glad to see that the advanced filter boxes will ret...

[quote="DibblerI do wish that Spiral would post his intentions of what he wishes to remove or change before they were implemented. Re: min size/max size

We have also lost the ability to filter by min size and max size. I use this to filter out garbage which is usually about a million small files. PLEASE put the adv filter option back. dak I totally agree, this was so useful to me for the same reason as you, and if it doesn't come back into a later ...
