I had it in a session badly, it happened when i went with my mouse over the tabs or buttons. just once yet. basicly i still had functionality if i kept my mouse over what i wanted to click, and was fast after return-keying the error away (don't move it meanwhile) i never had it in 3.9b9 , just the 2...

I have seen NL go to the full 50% of a virtul processor (hyperthreading) clearly without the need to do so, since minimizing to system-tray leaves the usage around 10-15% (accounting for the decoding spikes which are normal for speedup) Why is NewsLeecher still hogging my CPU(s) unneeded ... and it'...

Search gives results to 86.5 days now actually, but still .. not 100 or over, even though indexing says so.

Always nice to see things like this ..

At least they live up to their name as biggest in industry.

Let's see how fast spiril has to update the program & search to go over 120 days.

Just had an anopuncement from giganews this morning .. they are gonna go to 100 Days as well. I wonder if they will make a slugfest .... to retain with the highest stable count .. then again, that would probably require a datacenter as big a convention-centre or sumthin to keep up in the long run. h...

I asked what group, since retention is specified by allocating certain "disk space" to a specific group. It's still basically FiFo ... and they "limit"retention-appearance mostly by purging indexes and not by pruning the data. So while you have answered a side-question, (does it work for bigger file...

Don't know from which "group" you tried, but even my "home service provider" has text-groups with more than 300 days :P Retention-time with providers is usually numbered in average including groups like a.b.x & a.b.boneless and the such hugely misused groups. (giganews says headers in a.b.boneless a...

I would think one of the main reasons for not implementing that would be that it would simply put too much load on the SS-server if not implemented in a monkey-proof way (like only being able to request for something you are already downloading.) .. still ... I don't think adding an automatic search...

Well, i read it, but am afraid i can't vote on any of the choices since there is no other option and i don't run into any of the descrived problems ( i don't header anymore, and in over 2 years of usenet have never run into the decoding issues). My choice for other could be considered under interfac...

Re: What happen to.... Things lost in beta's

The problem comes around when say about 600 of those pesky, under 500KB files come around. I will see my thruput bottom out at about 1.5 mb. With lot's of choking and please wait while the decoder catches up. For this reason I would like to see this nice option come back. I had mine set at 2mb. Tha...

Seems to me that i might have also forgotten the golden rule of the net. You only get the complaints and the errors and bugs .. You mostly hear people only complaining ... The basic fact of this is ... everybody who is satisfied don't complain, as they don't have a reason to. They mostly don't visit...
