Same here.

It works if you upgrade to windows 8 with newsleecher already installed. Newsleecher has that error if you install it on a fresh copy of windows 8. compatibility mode doesn't work either.

Maybe thats what it is. Very interesting. Learn something new everyday! It does indeed fit those symptons. I bet thats what it is. Is this something RnE will have in the near future? Thanks for all your help at least now it makes sense!

No they all have whole numbers. The last file which looks to be the actual file when its decompressed says missing. But as far as the missing or partial files, they are all there none are partial.

What do you mean will they show partial usable blocks, newsleecher reports 300 out of 600 blocks always weird numbers I believe those are inacurrate. As far as the drive, its c:/users/name/downloads/whatever dir I do not think that is long at all and it not networked. This is a Windows Vista machine...

This might not be the right area, but seems to be close. Most of the time repair and extract says more blocks are needed even when it has downloaded all the par/par2 files. It will not repair the file. I have installed quickpar and ran it with the same exact files and it has enough blocks to repair ...

Right

Delphi, that is the same thing the guy at flashfxp said, he released a new beta of it and it really works. I am not saying you are wrong, I am just saying I have reason to believe otherwise.

Chris

P.S. I agree with mnerec

It has something to do with the front window, no the main window being up front, I wrote to flashfxp for having the same problem and they were able to fix it. Good Luck!

Vista Aesthetics

Would be nice for the live thumbnail to work with Vista, right now if you minimize newsleecher all you see is the newsleecher icon. Also the restore doesn't work with aero. Thought I'd chime in. Good luck with it!

See the first post! Or search for 'UNC paths'.

Newsleecher does not yet support UNC paths. You need to manually map a drive and use that instead.

It doenst work with mapped drives either!!!

Cannot save to network drive even if mapped!

Just thought I'd let you know if it hasn't been posted however I tried searching and could not come across a post, I am on vista and using 3.9 beta 1 and noticed that you cannot save to a network drive or a mapped network drive with the default save folder. It does show up in options as //pcname/fol...
