This is so very simple and needed and yet no leecher has it. Newsleecher has a function almost like it which is very cool, since every other leecher I tried misses it completely. Here goes. When you download pictures from a group every reader out there drops all those pictures in one directory. Thi...

Something similar has been documented here before. Nobody cares. http://www.newsleecher.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16288 Check your log-file. I bet you will find that Newsleecher moves on to delete files before the unRAR procedure has finished. The first few files get extracted OK because Newsleecher...

I think that after a year and a half of RnE users suffering from having our files deleted without any concern from the author, that most of us no longer use it.

Try Par Buddy http://www.parbuddy.dk/

It actually works!

Don't hold your breath. RnE has been deleting files since its inception, sometimes permanently.

It's apparently not a big problem. The author seems to have more pressing concerns than ensuring that his customers don't lose data.

After you reset the "Days To Keep" (Options/Download/Group Caching), you will need to reload the headers that were wiped out. Of course, with Newsleecher, you can't do anything as simple as "get ALL headers, not just NEW headers" (because that makes too much sense). You will need to purge the groups...

Beta 15 yet another RnE issue

This happens on a variety of machines and is very easy to reproduce, so I'm not detailing any system specs. If RnE is simply verifying a set and has nothing to extract, it will delete a majority of the files to the recycle bin if the RnE destination folder is on a different drive than the download f...

Time Warner has absolutely been enforcing limits lately, and to be quite honest, it's because of people who tie up 20+ connections while leeching just because they can. Time Warner uses Newshosting to outsource their NNTP service, and even paying Newshosting customers only get 8 connections each. Of...

I'm not sure if this is the reason why your MP3s are being deleted, but there is a problem with RnE that's been there since the beginning: If you choose to extract to "the same folder where the archive is located", it's very possible with Smart Select that your final folder name + the extracted file...

headers being counted twice when using two servers v3.9b8

If I pull headers with just one server enabled, the part count and byte totals are accurate. With two servers enabled, I get the following (notice everything is counted twice): http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/9771/screenpj3.jpg The file still downloads properly, and right-clicking and choosing "p...
