Re: Downloads paused after 90% complete

Hi Scuba,

I reduced my list of pause filters to only "sample" and "subs".
That seems to have solved the problem.

Re: Downloads paused after 90% complete

@scuba

Have not yet found time to try out the suggestions you have made.
In addition I am somewhat reluctant to run my PC with firewalls and security software disabled.

Re: Downloads paused after 90% complete

Hi Scuba,
The pause filters come into effect when an item is queued. They should not have any effect once a download has started and certainly are not designed to kick in when the download is close to completion.
My pause filters areas follows:-
sample
subs
proof

Downloads paused after 90% complete

Ever since V5 I get downloads being paused at 90% completion.
The same thing occurs with the Beta releases including the latest V7.0 Beta 4

Not exactly. There is a feature of the Repair and Extract system to remove the paused files (usually the unneeded par2 repair blocks) when it has finished processing that archive. The only kind of removal/cleanup on exit is when closing a group and it purges old headers and/or to clear the search f...

Remove puased items from queue

Apparently there is an option to remove paused items from the download queue (perhaps on exit?). Unfortunately I cannot locate it. I use the pause filter to pause all items containing "subs" and "sample" and would like to be able to remove these from the download queue. The queue sort does not group...

A number of sources have pointed to this:- 1) Run Certmgr.msc, go to Trusted Root Certification Authorities and find "avast! Mail Scanner Root" certificate and export it to a file 2) Go to the mail client's certificate store and import that certificate But I can find nothing in Newsleecher that show...

Add what as allowed, and where? All of the entries I found on aVast forums were about email rather than Usenet downloads. Prior to the latest aVast update my SSL traffic was not checked by aVast, but any problems with the downloaded files were detected by the File Shield. So in effect the situation ...

aVast 8.0.1483 SSL Scanning feature causes access problems

After updating to aVast 8.0.1483 on 15th. March I could not connect to my usenet servers. Newleecher went into a disconnect loop. First symptom was pop-ups about invalid certificates (one per bot). Traced problem to a new SSL Scanning feature in the aVast Mail Shield. Turned off SSL Scanning and pro...

Filter out samples and subs from download queue

Other than doing it manually, is there a way to filter out download queue entries for "sample(s)" and "sub(s)"?

Re: Speed Limit set/display missing from task bar

The display of the current speed limit and the drop down to set the limit appear to be missing. It is not missing. You can get it back if you right click your mouse on the little grafic bar and select large bandwitch graph. The one I'm looking for was in the menu bar(s) at the top of the screen. ht...
