7.0 beta - "..., please, register, to, see, groups" (solved)

After upgrading to the 7.0 beta and registering the program successfully supersearch still said to register in order to see groups. I went to the manager tab and downloaded (the get group list button) and it now works fine. I just thought I would post this in case someone else had the same or simila...

GUI Custom Scaling on Win 8.1 w/ ASUS T100 notebook/tablet

When I initially set it to 200 it immediately scaled it larger (too large) and it was difficult to reduce. I tried to set it to 150 but you cannot check OK or Apply as you cannot reduce the "Settings Dialog" as there are no handles to drag the dialog box and they are outside of the screen parameters...

Ran job overnight- loaded this morning without server info

I ran job overnight and NL was not running this morning. After this error I reinstalled v5b15 and still comes up with this same error. http://s10.postimage.org/yl3oqtwn9/Newsleecher_error.jpg I click a couple times on the top error and comes up with this consistently and cannot get past this error. ...

You would set up R&E-DM to filter the downloads to preset locations based on either keywords in the subjects or the group the articles are posted in. Damn, I love your answers. I wish I'd known how that could be used and there are even samples when setting it up! I was always changing the default d...

Feature to save downloaded post headers before deleting or clean up

I have over 5,000 completed downloads (articles) on my one computer. I do not want to delete (cleanup) as I like to go back for reference to see what, where and who posted my downloaded files. I would like to export my downloaded queue entries (header) to a text file. Then I could import it into a d...

I did not move any of the par files but I did notice this in the log: "4:09:23 PM Repair & Extract :: Auto Unpause Set File :: [113213]...." Which may be why the RAR's continue even after setting them to pause. It is easy enough to delete the RnE and compile after the fact. I'll try that when I am o...

items paused in queue will resume if not in numeric order

Due to satellite download restrictions at home I will sometimes pause larger rar's and move smaller (typically the last) to the front of the queue. It's happened a couple times that when I returned the items that were paused resumed by themselves. attached you will see where I moved item 18 before p...

Add Do not ask again when removing a "Recent Search"

I like the option to "do not ask again" on many items that are performed frequently. When removing a recent search an option for "Do not ask again" would be helpful.

I saw you registered a couple days ago. Since you have been a user for years I am surprised you never registered in the forum before. I have used Newsleecher on XP, Vista, and Win7x64 and have had problems but you need patience and work things out. I have noticed that Newsleecher support over the ye...

I read your original forum question...

I read your original forum question...I think most people are having a hard time trying to determine what your problem is EXCEPT THAT IT IS SLOW. Compressed Header Support: If your news server supports XFeatures header compression, you can download headers at up to 10 times faster. If you read the N...

example file not listed in SS

I have wondered the same: A file posted in alt.binaries.multimedia, alt.binaries.teevee with a file number of 92810 posted by "teevee@4u.tv (teevee)" is showing in newz****. You show the same program in SS in HD (file 92803) as incomplete (correctly and irreparable) but does not show the first "good...

Re: Some articles (files) just stall in the queue

I ran into something similar a couple years ago and you might try what I did: I've been having this for some time now. I'll go to download something, and the same files, every time, will stall near their end (like 90%) and switch their status to "Queued". I see them in the Newsleecher temp folder (t...

search bar in supersearch

In reply to: Missing the extra search bar in supersearch, opening up the big adv search is too cumbersome, that extra search bar was great for instantly narrowing down the search list and then altering what you had narrowed down without having to do the search again. The "extra search bar" can be en...

Going from Scheduled download to none does not release Queue

I have noticed this in the last couple betas and thought the issue might be addressed. I use the scheduler to download often but it does not seem to release the queue when switching from Speed Limit: Scheduled to Speed Limit: None http://s17.postimage.org/dbxvy0hij/12_23_2011_4_49_14_AM.jpg Clicking...
