POSTER FILTER

The filter needs to be applied when displaying ARTICLES not when downloading the headers. If you think about it how does anyone know what the *ss poster name is using before they get the headers. This has been requested long time ago but never implemented.

Something is very wrong with Newsleecher v4

When v3.9 was installed Newsleecher would run for weeks 24/7 leeching articles. Now with v4.0 I bearly get thru a day without having to terminate it and restart it. The download queue stalls with NL running 25% on a Quad Core = 100% with only Other I/O incrementing. When I check the timestamp of the...

Articles

Now I thought about it you can also browse the "Articles" window and include and exclude articles by entering strings in the input box just above the heading bar there is also a button to the left that will open advanced filtering options. Use the dash to indicate NOT.

You will need to wait awhile for it to complete so go to your other computer or game console to relax. Once the group h...

[quote="TimeLordCat] I am running 48 bots using GigaNews. Which news service are you using and how many connections do they allow? But are those bots actually doing anything when you are downloading? unable to sort in the Repair/Extract window

When selecting the STATUS column to sort by status to get the articles that only need a block or 2 grouped together NL does nothing. I usually have around 2000 entries in the R&E window and making me the tool is just not right.

Re: Not Responding

Downloaded NL 4 Final hoping it would cure a consistent problem. It didn't. Problem - I get glacial response time with NL locking up and returning NOT RESPONDING message for minutes at a time. Repeated mouse clicks may eventually clear it so I can scroll down a few pages before it locks up again. I...
