I think a way to replicate would be to kill the explorer.exe process then launch newsleecher without explorer loaded. (so startup a command prompt prior to killing explorer)

Don't know when this started, but when I right click the NewsLeecher icon when it's minimized to the tray, I no longer get the options for pausing/resuming/changing the speed. Began working around the same time for me as it did for you all. I do not understand how a program can have this somehow occur to users across the spectrum using a variety of news hosting companies... is there something special in the way Newsleecher forms its sockets that pisses off a standard SSL ...

Same issue with NewsGroupDirect here. All SSL connections just immediately disconnect.

Definitely enjoying RnE and all, but after much usage of it I'd rather keep with the ALT+F9 shortcut to launch "ParnRar" while keeping 3.8 for the small files feature.

I really hope this gets reimplemented.. how's a new beta coming along?
