Re: Newsleecher app cannot register
I found a workaround for this issue that I posted before in the Beta forum.. open up the News and Log tab - you will probably notice your News page refreshing constantly too. Move the pane splitter to the right, and it should stop refreshing, and then allow you to enter your membership details too.

8.0bx - Downloads stop with 1-5 blocks needed. Queued par files are not unpaused.
This happens quite often. Manually un-pausing the par files doesn't trigger a refresh, and the set is only re-evaluated when a manual "Refresh" is performed from the Unpacker tab, at which point a repair will go ahead if sufficient parity is present. "Auto Par2 Queue Handling", and "Auto Queue Clear...

Re: V8.0 Beta 4 - Leech (Specify) extracts to default Download Folder
Noblemd, while I appreciate your contributions to this forum, in this case you are incorrect. The extraction folder, when left empty, would default to the download folder for each item. This was the designed behaviour in previous versions, and it was explicitly explained in the tooltip text for the ...

Re: V8.0 Beta 3 Unable to open tempory download file.
Also having this problem a lot now. Annoying to say the least.. it makes NL v8bx unusable. Running b5 ufr2 currently.
AV has exclusions in place for the entire download directory and against the newsleecher process itself.

Is your News and Log page continuously refreshing too? If so, try following my workaround here: viewtopic.php?p=130322#p130322

Re: Creating/Starting over with a (new) newsleecher.ini file
I did this a few months back, and it did make a big difference. Still one or two lingering issues, but it solved a few I was getting regularly.

Re: v8b3 Downloads still getting STUCK
Things seem to be slightly better in b4, but have had a couple of the usual Access Violation errors over the course of about 50 different sets. When this happens the R&E queue stops working until i restart the program, and it seems to happen when one of them gets to the extraction phase, and turns t...

Re: v8b4 UFR1 - Incorrect Folder Unpack - Fixed in UFR 2
It doesn't matter how much red and bold text you use, it doesn't make you correct. In the previous version, without an entry in the RAR extract folder setting, it would indeed extract to the specified download folder (see screenshot from v7 final). This is the correct behaviour IMO, the most logical...

Re: v8b3 Downloads still getting STUCK
Still getting this and other random download bugs. Makes it unusable.. i'm having to run v7 final still.
Can i suggest Spiral that you just queue up 100 random downloads of rar'd, par2'd content, and I'd be surprised if you don't run in to at least one of the issues.

Re: Beta Support
Yeah, I'm also growing tired of this lack of response to bug reports. I think the devs needs to do more testing.. go and use the client for a few weeks and download a few hundred different sets... there's so many bugs in these beta releases that I fail to see how they're not triggering most of them ...
