Do you have compressed headers enabled? If you do, try turning it off.
Mine crashes almost every time it downloads headers if I have it enabled. it's been this way for a long time and doesn't seem like a problem that anybody is working on.

6.5 beta 4: Crash/hang with compressed headers enabled
Newsleecher crashes or hangs when I download headers with header compression enabled. Very repeatable. This has been happening since v6.3 Beta 2. I'm downloading my headers from 123 Usenet, but I've tried other providers. It only happens when compression is enabled. Any suggestions on what info I ca...

Default file to download/open on Enter
Right now if you highlight a collection of pieces and hit Enter, the .NFO file fill be downloaded and open. A lot of files are being posted without .NFO files, but they do have .SRR files which often contain the .NFO file. My request is to add an option to open the .SRR file if the .NFO doesn't exis...

I tried various combinations of tray settings and then tried leaving the window open and it would still be hung once in a while. I had headers set to download automatically every 2 hours, so I thought that might be related. I turned that off and today when I updated headers, the application froze wi...

I tried different variations of the System Tray settings in Advanced Nerdy Tweaks and it didn't seem to matter. Tonight with all the "tray" options set to defaults the program hung while minimized (not in the tray). It wouldn't un-minimize and running the EXE again didn't get it to open either. I wa...

Manager tab: Bring back columns for Bots and Priority
In some older versions the Server list in the Manager tab would let you display columns for Number of Bots and Priority. I'd find those really helpful since I use a number of servers and change these values often. They could default to off so as not confuse current users. It would also be helpful if...

SuperSearch: MinMB and MinGB in addition to MinKB
Since files are so large nowadays, I rarely need to be able to specify in kB increments. I often use a minimum of 100000 and a maximum of 1000000, which is kind if a lot to type. I'd like to see MinMB, MinGB, MaxMB, and MaxGB added as keywords in SuperSearch. Bonus points if they all support decimal...

v6.3 Beta 2 - tray icon hangs
It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes I can't get NL to open from the tray icon. I have to kill the process and reload it. I was running v5 Final until recently and never had this problem.
If it matters, I'm running Windows XP home and I have the tray icon set to open with a single click.

A decent workaround is to expand the file to see all the parts, select the last RAR part (often the smallest) and hit Enter. This will download and open that one file so you can see if it has a password and what's inside. It would be great if NL could download only the RAR header, but this works unt...
