Re: What to do if SuperSearch seems to be down ?

The SuperBrowse group search gives me no results at all (well new ones since about 3AM GMT) for teevee group. But others work fine. Well I think so. Very strange behaviour.

It works, just close the tab, else I find it sticks an Initialising or verifying.

Supersearch report button

Here is what I think, personally, is a much MUCH needed feature. If I goto http://www.newsleecher.com/status/ right now it says supersearch is "OK". It isn't, as it isn't indexing new items, and hasn't been for a fair few hours now. It would be nice if a button was added, either to that page or the ...

Yes it is very disappointing. They obviously don't give a stuff about newsleecher, or its customer base. Maybe it isn't turning a profit like it once was? I dunno. You might think since they are expanding and looking into having their own NG service they'd spend a little on a person that can collect...

Stopped working again? For me yes. Luckily I set up a second server with the Non-SSL connection can just move the tick box across and reconnect, but this is annoying.

Just looking for clarification, as we all know no-one at NL gives a sTuff!

I am on newsdemon too, and I cannot connect (about to try non-SSL). On latest Beta and it goes from Offline (connect on demand) to "Idle (Transfers Scanned) then back again over SSL.

There are 2 commonalities here, so its either NewsDemon or NL.

Join NZBs.org, brilliant site for erotica posts I have found. Good little search bar and full release names not just condensed initial strings, so you can find stuff a lot easier.

4.x is still not working. It's only indexing random articles, if any at all. Most of the recent posts do not show up. In fact, it appears as if SS is only indexing (slowly) what seems like the top20 groups and pretty much dropping everything else or showing only like 5-10% of the articles, if any. ...

Supersearch time indexing bug

There appears to be a bug in supersearch that is incorrectly removing indexed items from a search after 23 hours instead of 24. I just witnessed this just this second with a search for UFC. The weigh ins video just hit 23 hours as I searched a second time (just to bring it back into the box for late...

Wrong forum, it'll probs be moved anyway. Just putting in my notice of the same problem. Nothing that occurs all too often for me, but every now and then it can occur and it's really stupid when it's the last part of a single file, and its really annoying when it's a big 50MB file plus, and there ar...

Timed pause on Tray Icon?

Would it be possible to get this as an option, like a further expanded sub-menu off the main pause button in the tray icon right-click menu? Saves open the program fully just to pause for 10 minutes etc.

No that isn't the issue, at least for me. My NL has always been downloading to a different drive (F:, NL installed to C:). I imported a BIG queue and R&E list from Beta 11 so maybe clearing it all off would fix it? But I won't know for a while yet, I CBA to take it all off may aswell wait til it fin...

Running s admin doesn't work at least not for me and since doing so my log is FULL minus the odd entry of: 11:44:22 ThreadPR Error(121): Access violation at address 007FD722 in module 'newsLeecher.exe'. Read of address 00000000 Absolutely thousands of them over the 3+ hours since I ran in Admin mode...

OK Got another annoying little bug. The pop-up alerts. They break "The To Tray" functionality. Like for the aforementioned alert I get for it not being able to create temporary files. It isn't part of the program itself, or doesn't jump on top of the program when I pull the program out of the tray. ...
