Re: autounpack with Newsleecher

The isssue is to autounpack the content from DOWNLOADS to EXTRACTED and put the wirarpackets in the recycle bin. you can do this from the Settings > Repair / Extract Repair-Extract.png unfortunately Newsleecher does not provide a way of calling external utilities like MultiPAR or WinRar, it could b...

Re: using newsleecher access on MAC

I don't think so, supersearch is integrated in to Newsleecher which is a windows only utility. but maybe with dual boot with boot camp or run a Virtual Machine it could be possible. I haven't used a Mac in a very long time, 90's when I had a Macintosh IIfx with a Mac Trinitron monitor, but PC's were...

Re: NewsLeecher Beta 8.0

yes it should work OK, just keep in mind its a beta and you will most likely run in to many bugs and error message popups so I wouldn't rely on it as my only usenet downloader, some posts download without any problems, some do not and you will most likely have to clear your entire download queue jus...

Re: Can't Register

...In addition, on the two computers I DO have Beta 4 installed and registered, the registration page idendifies my plan "Ready To Go" but says NO to Usenet, SuperSearch, and SuperLeech. BUT THEY STILL WORK. In the website Member's area, my account says my "Ready To Go" plan expired on November 6th...

Re: files downloaded disappered

I think the default NewsLeecher download directory is c:\downloads\ if it has been changed to the System Download folder (for example, C:\Users\[your name]\Downloads) your download may have too long a file name for NewsLeecher to save the files. Check your destination folder in Settings > Download/U...

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: some problems

the mod is on his GitHub HERE For anyone else having this issue just read the thread " Does not work with NewsLeecher 8 " and follow the link to his OneDrive I'm not sure what benefit having 'search recursive directories' would be in a verify scenario, the idea of posting a directory structure inste...

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: some problems

for me I'd either wait for the download to finish then run multipar or if the archive was big > 20GB I'd export to nzb and download with v7 which can have multipar running in conjunction. I use the <Group> command in the folder destination and if I find a TV series I want I will download each episod...

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: some problems

That was fast, thanks a lot to you both. I hope it will lead to a solution. I reported this problem over a year ago here unfortunately I fear you original conclusion is correct and neither will take responsibility for the bug or fix it, but we live in hope... or is that denial! lol Maybe an option ...

Re: 8.0 Beta 4: some problems

2) Use MultiPar, which is much more efficient. MultiPar somehow locks something in "!! newsleecher temporary !!". That did not happen with V7. V8 tries to get a full lock, and fails while V7 was more tolerant. Problem 2) is really annoying, it's been there since the very first beta. Of course, you'...
