This sounds like a requirements issue. Problem is that software companies usually only define the hardware requirements, but not truely define the software requirements. It means, telling you "Windows 7 compatible" says all and nothing. Check if common Windows services are running. There is a basic ...

There are websites that are supposed to be what's called a web interface to the usenet. Even some usenet providers, like Easynews, have a simple website access in parallel to NNTP access. Apart from that: why would anyone use a tablet for that? Too little memory, storage and processor capacity. That...

Repair & Extract - logical errors

Hello! This is in NL since longer, but somehow I never realised, so I'll post now. This is about Repair & Extract feature: 1. Functions like EXTRACT can not be checked/unchecked if ENABLED is unchecked 2. If EXTRACT is not checked and there's a file with status "Ready to extract" I can not manually ...

I just want to say thanks.

THANKS, CRYSTAL ART, FOR FINALLY IMPLEMENTING THE BASIC FEATURE "UPDATE X HEADERS".

Thanks again. It will spare us so much work and traffic!

I hardly can't believe it that I would still experience this in my life. :P

Another bug:

When "allow Xfeat Compression" is set to FALSE, it still says "x turbo compressed headers received" at the next update.

Biggest bug for me until now: Group header number is set to maximum after update on some (!!!) subscribed groups. Means, what the server would report after a purge. But...when updating, only the new headers since the last update are downloaded, while the header number is not changing. Before: http:/...

It's getting worse, somehow...

I'm running XP Pro on a 2.8GHz Dual Core with 2GB RAM. There are new, negative issues since 4.8b: 1. the header updating stops from time to time (I suppose this is due to decompression of the headers) 2. while updating 5 groups at once was no problem before, it now seems to be (NL froze somewhen whi...

OK, thanks. But the short way to place a poster in the kill filter would be more appreciated. I meant, like it was in the last final. About SuperSearch: Protect the server? A simple protection would be to limit using SuperSearch only once in 30 seconds. But this way is not OK. Let's search, for exam...

Some things I found: a) Bad: Still missing the "Export to NZB" feature. b) Bug: there is no opportunity to manage the kill file or place posters to it, but NL puts a lot of messages in the log like "Article ignored due to poster...". c) Annoying: the log file logs a lot of useless stuff, which consu...

Thanks for the good work, but I'm still missing these features. 1. Supersearch Service --> More: It is not possible to change Min.Days: 2. News:::Log: All Log entries are without date. 3. Queue: I can't find "files and articles marked for downloading - xxxxx articles in queue - xxxxxx GB - time lef...

Remember these are BETA versions, they *will* have bugs. You got that slightly wrong. These betas are intended to remove the many bugs the last final still had. But instead of removing these bugs, Crystal Art has implemented a lot of useless new features which cause even more bugs, instead of eradi...

None of the mentioned problems here, but these two (or at least one) bugs are still there: a) double-clicking a message does not download/open it (the action for a double-click should be there AND it should be configurable in the settings) b) the "New(C)" column is still empty http://img10.imageshac...

What obvious reasons could be more worth than leaving dangerous "I want to phone home" applications like MS error reports running?
This is totally crazy! Everything that does unwanted internet activity in Windows is considered as trojan or spyware, included many services and internals from MS.

Why do you people whine so much? !! Especially about Beta releases ! This is a new release version totally .. not just a minor upgrade. So what? Instead of putting time and effort into redesigning the surface (I liked the brushed style, which is gone now) and implementing more or less useless new f...

Since this is beta, errors are expected. The users are again abused to play the beta tester. Without paying!

In your case, you listed some errors/bugs/annoyances of the beta, which belongs into the beta bug list of 4.03 above.

You're items two and three are already mentioned there. :o
