Any news on when the problem will be fixed? I am now down to 800kb/s on a 100Mbit connection...

I know technical issues can occur, but some more info would be appreciated.

What is going on? No replies from the techies yet?
Are we certain that Newsleecher's servers are the problem, because I have to know if I have to contact my ISP.

Supersearch not working properly?

The last few days I have noticed some 'glitches' in the SS module. It seems that SS isn't indexing properly, but to be sure I would like to ask other members for help. For example, today a movie called ' REMOVED BY ADMINISTRATOR ' was posted in alt.binaries.boneless. The file name is 'am-rmodels'. W...

Application error

I got this error message when I closed down Newsleecher (v3.9 final):
The instruction on 0x7c91e9c9 points to memory on 0x06770030. The read or write function ('read') on memory has failed
Can someone tell me what this means and how this can be fixed?

Add group to SuperSearch

How can I request a group to be added to the SuperSearch engine?
If it is possible I would like to have alt.binaries.boneless.nl added to the SS engine.

Supersearch not initializing

Due to a system crash I had to install things all over, including Newsleecher. I purchased a Linksys router to update the security of my pc. Newsleecher works alright, but Supersearch and the 'Newsleecher News Stand' won't initialize. This way I cannot use Supersearch. Can someone help me out and te...

A 'start download timer' (exact time) would be great, enabling us to 'program' Newsleecher when to start downloading.

Why aren't requested groups added to SS database?

A couple of days ago I used the request from in order to get the group alt.binaries.pcgame added to the SS database. So far it hasn't been added, but of course I don't know how long it normally takes for a group to be added...
Could you please add it when you have the time? Thankx!

Idle timeout

Recently I have been getting a lot of 'idle timeout' messages on my connections. Can anyone tell me what this means and if I can solve this by adjusting some settings in Newsleecher 3.0?

Move the slider to the left so that it performs garbage collection more often.

I'm not at home to test it out right now, but it should either clean the headers up when you update the group again OR when you exit NL and it runs garbage collection. Which version of NL are you using BTW? techfuzz It does clean the cache everytime I close down NL (I am using 3.0b2), but as you ca...

Well, that's the problem, this doesn't seem to work. I set the number of days to 7, but when does NL refresh this? I tried activating/deactivating some other groups and then went back to a.b.boneless (the group I was updating). It just keeps showing headers older than 10/11 days. Very annoying.
