I went to the Silicon Realms forum and posted essentially the same message. They told me to contact the author of Newsleecher, so here I am again.

So.... How can this be resolved?

Software conflict

This isn't precisely a bug as the anti-piracy protection of newsleecher is simply doing it's job, but it is severely affecting my ability to use the program. I like to run newsleecher in the background downloading while i'm playing online games. With the games, I run XUnleashed (http://www.xunleashe...

I would love to see this too, but at the very least, it would be nice if loading a download queue in "Queue Manager" would preserve the order in which it's saved. My PC crashes periodically, sometimes corrupting the download queue and forcing me to requeue everything. BTW, older versions of NL would...

Spiril,

Do you think you'll implement this pre or post 1.0 final? This is the one feature that's killing me right now.

More info. Who is your provider? What version NL do you run? How many .nzb files have you tried, and does it really happen with every one? Where do you obtain your .nzb files?

What is the difference between the 2 newsreaders connections and 2 connections only in newsleecher? There should be no difference assuming you are talking about one computer/ip address. It may be using two clients staggers the login, whereas NL alone tries to connect simultaneously. Try connecting ...

This will be my last month of newsfeeds They have never been anything more than a boatload of problems. Oh, and waaaaay expensive. this worked perfectly, as the option was not on B15 I did not know it was there Until the recent versions, NL automatically sent the GROUP command to the server for com...

Icefreez is hosting the files - they are not officially hosted by the creator. You will have to either wait for Ice to fix the links, wait for someone else to host the files, or find someone to send you a copy.

It means that particular server has been scanned for all the articles in the transfer queue and has either downloaded them or they did not exist on the server. Sometimes, NL does not handle certain errors well, and I've seen that message on servers that temporarily would not connect, but the article...

Personally, I like hotkeys. I grew up on PCs long before mice were common, and once you learn them, they are far faster than having to move your hand away from the keyboard, point and click, then move your hand back. Most of the keyboard shortcuts in NL also have corresponding entries in the menu sy...

I have yet to determine if I'm actually deleting this sporge posts and spammers, OR if when I click "update" group these files that I deleted from cache simply re-appear? Deleting headers from cache removes them permanently, but the same spammers can post new messages that get loaded on a header up...

Forgot to address your last statement:
it keeps getting to the end of downloads and then stalls, I end up with hundreds of half downloaded files all the time
That may be related to the completeness on your news server, but once again, you need to provide more details.
