Image view with Ctrl+R
In an older version of Newsleecher, i was able to press Ctrl+R on a post and it would download the picture of the post, but now I've upgraded to Newsleecher v7 when I do that it opens my text browser and shows a load of garbage. What setting(s) do I need to set in Newsleecher v7 so that it shows the...

Extract by keyword
I've just upgraded from 6 to 7, and I seem to have lost the ability to extract by keyword. For example, I had S01E through to S15E as keywords so that they go into a TV folder instead of Film Folder, since Plex handles TV differently to Films, but upgrading newsleecher has meant I can't get it to mo...

Re: new spamming method via "If_you_get_error.txt"
It's probably because the .exe file is in the last file of the archive, it downloads the entire set, then only spam traps when it gets to the last file. SO much wasted bandwidth

Re: new spamming method via "If_you_get_error.txt"
Although they contain EXE files they don't get spammed out.
The EXE file is inside a folder called Codec, with the root folder containing a text file If_you_get_error.txt and the associated .avi file.

How do you get the RnE configuration file, when I click that link (viewtopic.php?t=6766) I get You are not authorised to read this forum.

Application Bug has Occurred
Can we please do something about all these Application Bug error messages we have. Is there something we can do where if it appears three or more times for there to be a "totally abort and close program" button, because sometimes I have to reboot the computer to get rid of the mesages. Other times I...

Retry after Could not Create Dest. Folder
Sometimes I find my network drive isn't available for the Repair & Extract feature, and once it turns red with a "Could not Create Dest. Folder" there appears to be no way to have the program retry short of closing and reopening the application. Is there something that can be done for us to have a "...

There is a setting to limit the initial group update but followup updates should get any new headers. When you update the group, what option are you selecting? Did you choose the ## number of days or ## number of headers? Is there anything more in the log regarding header downloads? I have set it t...

Maximum Headers
I'm finding that the updating of groups only downloads a small percentage, then stops. Checking the logs, I have the following entry: 08:51:34 * The maximum number of new headers to receive has been limited to 15,461 by user. (this is repeated everytime I update, the only difference being the timest...

Restore the semi-permanent filter
How do I restore the Search Append Filter to the Newsgroup articles list, the one that always stayed there after you clicked on Clean-up? I used to have a list of stuff I didn't want to show up in that box, but now my newsgroups are showing everything in the Articles window. I note that there's a ne...

Startup hang
Can I request handling of start-up issues for Newsleecher, similar to what is now being done on many big title software. Have the software identify failed start-ups, and then offer the user a front-end UI on resolving the start-up failure. Nothing worse than having to find an IT proficient person to...

Hanging, Beeping
Lately I'm finding Newsleecher unbearable - it seems to frequently hang the computer, if I try to close Newsleecher, I get the startup box always on the screen (can't get rid of it), and a constant beeping (like a deep morse code). I reboot the computer, as soon as it tries to load Newsleecher, back...
