Android app

A previous post asked santa for a Windows mobile app.
So I checked if anyone had already requested an app for Android.

The last request was back in 2011.
Mentioning "Nzb Leech" as temporary fix.

It does work, but is rather crude.
I'ld like to be able to take Newsleecher with me beyond my laptops.

SuperSearch filter : file size range

I'ld love an option to hide SuperSearch results based on their file size. By adding the ability to set a minimum and maximum file sizes. Preferably by creating selectable size profile filters. That can easily be enabled/disabled as a filter by unchecking a newly added checkbox before the dropdown op...

Save filters and bookmarks with filters

Saving filters : A number of "search result filters" is used more often then others. Instead of having to retype them, because they dropped of the last used entries list, it might be more practical to be able to bookmark these. Without them being linked to the "search box" entries. Expending bookma...

3.95B3 incompatibility with 7-zip

Since I start using the open alternative 7-zip in Vista, to winRAR the files don't get extracted, but if they contain folders those do show up. Strangely enough when I use Newsleecher in Ubuntu and I add rar support, it works like a charm. So why doesn't it feel like playing nice with 7-zip in Vista...

My thought exactly. Although you do get a view of these latest items in the RnE. Sadly enough you don't have the option yet to remove it from the queue in the same time you remove it from the grouped RnE list. Which makes the whole thing less efficient. If I'm not mistaken the grouped view is one of...

Smart Select threads within a broader selection

Instead of having to select a part of your whole selection to be put in seperatly labelled folders, you could enable smart select that would download them based on similarity of the names before the dot. Rather then put them all together like "leech(smart)". Selection └---> item1 └---> item2 └---> i...

I wouldn't be so sure if I were you ... Giganews has completed its third significant storage upgrade of the year which will increase binary retention day by day through the end of the summer to 200 days! Giganews continues to hold text newsgroup articles indefinitely and as a result Giganews' retent...

Perhaps that's what it should do, but in my case I noticed it didn't.
The content was being extracted, while it was still downloading for about 1 GB of par files.

And it wasn't an issolated case, because the next one in line went through the exact same scenario.

R 'n E - stop downloading when enough to extract

The title says it all, but just to be clear. When the " R 'n E" has enough pars or files to rebuild and extract it's content it should remove the remaining items from that group. That way you download files that you don't need any more.

Check'nGet

If not all the downloaded core files are in a good shape, start downloading the par files as well. Instead of doing it in reverse as is the case now.
