SuperSearch only returning approx 30 days of results

It seemed fine last night (after the recent reboot and retention update) but today SuperSearch is only returning a max of about 30 days of results. The status page does not seem happy either: Current Status: WARNING Service Usage Load: 86.0% (Extreme) Service Article Retention: ERROR Indexing Turn-A...

Re: Download to different a drive instead of final file loca

Thanks, I worked it out from Quaraxkad's reply, and it's working well for me now. The FAQ post does not actually directly cover what I was asking by the way (I had already read it before posting here), as it only refers to setting up automated destination folders based on newsgroup names, tags, etc....

Re: Download to different a drive instead of final file loca

My Default Download folder was already set to my D:\ drive (the local RAID-0 array), but I hadn't thought to try presetting various separate extraction folders in the rules settings. I assumed those only worked dynamically, based on names derived from the newsgroup/filename, but as you say they can ...

Download to different a drive instead of final file location

I download my files into about 10-15 different named folders on my NAS, selected from the download folder-name history list, but sometimes my download stream can be faster than my LAN/NAS can write the data, and this causes the download to keep pausing. Is there any way to use the 'Download' folder ...

Re: Version 7 beta 2 - extract folder problems still

I can confirm that the interim beta has indeed fixed my download destination bug with Leech Specify mode. Thanks! Could someone tell me whether there's a way to automatically download RARs/PARs to a temporary drive location (e.g. my fast local RAID 0 array) but still have the final extracted files s...

Re: Version 7 beta 2 - extract folder problems still

I'm having this problem too with 7beta2, I assumed it was just me not setting something correctly. but apparently not. I don't want to use any tagged or group-specific directories at all, I just use the "Leech (Specify)" function and manually pick the folder that I wish to download to from the histo...

Selecting downloads based on server completion ratios

I use two usenet severs, my local ISP (which is nice and fast and generally not too bad for completion) and set to a lower priority is AstraWeb (paid) just for fills. Recently my local ISP has been missing a number of entire posts which are present on AstraWeb (I'm guessing censorship, but whatever ...

Just bumping this. Does anyone know how to stop the latest beta Newsleecher from automatically inserting its own generated Destination Folder name for each new download when using the the Leech Specify (Control-Y) command?

I agree 100% with these comments. I do love the drop-down history for paths used in previous downloads - it was my suggestion several years ago in fact - although it does seem a bit odd having two separate lists; I'd prefer just one drop-down list showing me the last 10 locations (i.e. full paths) t...

Sometimes I makes changes if I think they'll benefit the app in the long run (make it less bloated, more streamlined, etc). But regarding the filter boxes I've probably made a mistake. I'll look into they'll return before the final. Thanks, I too had just popped in here to ask what had happened to ...

Thanks for your help again. I guess there are batchfile workarounds for all sorts of issues, but I'd just prefer them to be fixed elegantly in the main program rather than needing to hack my way to a solution. :)

No, sorry, thank you for your time.

I must admit the hibernate option of the process you described had already occured to me as something potentially useful. I just prefer to keep purchased GUI programs and hacked batchfiles separate where possible... :)

Many thanks for the advice. I can't speak for the other poster, but I rather wanted the "Shutdown when Finished" option to actually work, rather than to write a batchfile as a workaround. If leaving an unattended batch running, I'd turn RnE off anyway. Could you confirm this is being treated as a NL...

Just bumping this back up to the top as it doesn't seem to have made it onto the feature list as yet - hopefully it could be in a forthcoming beta release soon? Just a little pop-up (or drop-down) history list of the last ten paths used in the Leech Specify dialog box would be very useful indeed ple...
