Cannot resume partial downloads... Help!?

Hi Newsleecher v3.95 Beta 3 - Windows XP x64 sp2 I have not been around this forum in quite some time. I did try to search but could not find any answers. Basically what has happened is my NL temp folder ran out of space and a large portion of downloads have got paused (even though they say queued)....

Well the most any of my servers allows is 4 connections so i can't really test that. But it seems 1 server/multiple bots = ok and multiple servers/bots not.

Right! but what i was trying to point out is its seems the more bots/servers you have the more likely you are to get the incompletes.

Sods law i did 2 seperate tests and nothing came down incomplete. Test 1: I used a seperate NL installation for the isp only test and no files came down incomplete. (reason i used a seperate install is to make sure i was downloading using headers from my isp server). Par verification showed nothing ...

Re: yep, I've the same problem of sheldomly truncated archiv

what are your download speeds with all seperate cases? if you only max out your connection with both giganews and your isp server connected, this might explain why corruption only occurs when both are enabled. it could just be a faulty piece of hardware (either your's or your isp's) Using giganews ...

No real complaints about cpu usage here, except for the pauses caused by the writes, it would be nice to see improvement here...

Anyone know where I can download a Jap. regional add-on for XP so I can test the prob myself? I'm not exactly sure what this would entail... If you are running windows XP you should be able to install additional languages and fonts using the "Regional and Language Options" applet in the control pan...

i do agree that newsleecher shouldn't lock up (for obvious reasons, lockups are never acceptable), and a warning that the nzb is screwed would also be nice. This is all we are really asking for, but your long ranting post made it look like you was completely against it (I missed that part). I...

Re: yep, I've the same problem of sheldomly truncated archiv

this problem seems to be consistent, and occur on about 20% of the downloads (around 15-20 truncated files for a 90*50megs stuff) I don't think the problem is consistent. It seems to depend on how many bot connections you have and what servers the bots are using. 3 bots on giganews + 1 bot to isp s...

Even if i and many others where handy dandy with nzb files and knew how to manually check each one to see if its bad or if its a old powerpost nzb even then it would be useful because it would save time. What about nzb's downloaded from websites like dvdrs.net? How do you tell its a powerpost nzb? M...

RC2 was an improvement and not just for SS although i have to agree, some of the new stuff was "ghee whizz" rather than great additions.

Still unhappy about losing the F11 key :(
