Its the same in the UK.............. No. For example, downloading from AllofMP3.com breaks UK law: "It is illegal for them to sell the recordings in Russia or anywhere else because they are not licensed, and UK consumers are infringing copyright law because they are making illegal copies from an un...

Re: not saving checkbox prefs

Why does it not save my checkbox prefs? I.E. I uncheck "extract" because I download a lot of .001 rar sets. When I close Newsleecher then reopen all the check boxes are rechecked. Why? I've tried different ways of reproducing your problem, but in each case my settings are rememberd between restarts...

Re: Newsrover vs Supersearch

I am concerned that we r paying for search engine that doesnt really come upto spec, and pretty sure there is some legal requirement of purchasing software on the net, but be sure i will check if newsleecher are breaking the law in some way because it feels a con!!!! I hope you realise how funny th...

Hasn't been working for me all morning either. I assume this is the problem: Feb 16, 2007, @738 .beats During the next days, there might be various inconsistencies with SuperSearch, caused by many smaller internal updates to the service. The updates are necessary in order to raise the SuperSearch re...

Re: NL 3.9 B1: (RNE) Multiple rar's are not handled correctly

When a PAR2 set covers more than 1 archive, only 1 is extracted. For example: A TV episode was put into two RAR filesets. One for the episode and one for the subtitles. The PAR2 set covered both archive sets. In this particular case, after verification and repair, only the subtitles were unpacked. ...

REQUEST: My machine ain't the fastest - so an Option for "When emtpy - run RnE" would be great. It should then function as normal ( check my PARs, repair/download needed files, etc etc ) That way I could first download my whole queue and then have RnE do its thing 8) Added as Request 16. As you migh...

Re: RnE further bug

Hi, sorry don't have time to read through 10 pages so am hoping this is the first post of this. Flame me if it ain't (I'm sure someone will  ) A Rar archive that is corrupt but has a clear PAR2 check (i.e. the file is intrinsically corrupted & this hasn't occurred as a result of the download) ...

Actually, if you follow the link in Smudge's post, you'll find that the posted solution is always to extract to a folder that is different from the download folder (and why would you ever want to do otherwise?). This seems to prevent most if not all accidental deletions. That is, it works by choosin...

Are you sure you aren't just downloading the .nfo file rather than the whole file set?

See the first post! Or search for 'UNC paths'. Newsleecher does not yet support UNC paths. You need to manually map a drive and use that instead. -Hecks It doenst work with mapped drives either!!! -C Are you sure that you've actually created a drive mapped to a network folder, and checked 'Reconnec...

Re: Cannot save to network drive even if mapped!

Just thought I'd let you know if it hasn't been posted however I tried searching and could not come across a post, I am on vista and using 3.9 beta 1 and noticed that you cannot save to a network drive or a mapped network drive with the default save folder. It does show up in options as //pcname/fo...

I am not sure if this is already written in this topic (the topic is quite big). In the RnE-options I selected 'After succesful extraction: Permanently Delete Archive and PAR2 files'. It looks like this option does nothing, since the extracted files are placed in the recycle bin. You can already ha...
