Topic: Better "Select All From Poster" option?

Sorry, but how would you look at the IP it was posted from? If I would post something to my usenet provider, it would converge to yours, with the source address of my provider. As a provider has lots of users, that kinda beats the whole "ip filter" idea. Because it's possible the spam goes from the ...

Until you have something in your queue, it will stay like that.

Did you by chance also switch ISP? Do you have anything in the queue for download? Are you actually connected to the server (the button is pressed)?

They are supposed to be ping, and they still are in the articles and supersearch tab. It's just that this does not always reflect what is really the status of the file. If you use SuperSearch, it's possible that the file is complete on the SS index servers, but not on your server. Even headers can b...

There are a few things that could be the problem. One could be that the server you posted the message to doesn't allow posting. Did you get a confirmation that the post actually succeeded? Another option is that you forgot to update the headers, thus not see it. The last option I can think of, is th...

Check for drive fragmentation, it's possible that your drive is heavily fragmented and it's speed is really bad because of that. Also check your CPU usage, NL decodes the parts real time as it's downloaded, so the CPU has to be able to handle it too. If you would download at your max speed (2 MB/s) ...

1: Check if there is an entry in RnE and it's complete. The files also need to be extractable. I'm not sure, but I thought that zip files were unsupported yet. Also check if the Extract checkbox is ticked in RnE. 2: If you happen to find it from within the program, it's not a secure source. Always d...

There is no registry key for that. What if you purge the group, unsubscribe, restart NL, subscribe and then update the headers?

It might be the way the file is registered to DAMN NFO reader. After each program, there is a certain parameter, like %f or similar to indicate the file path and name. You might need to change the command or parameter that is used. Too bad that Vista can no longer do that graphically like XP, so you...

I don't use DAMN NFO reader, but instead Notepad++ which can handle NFO files too. When opening an NFO file from headers or SS, it opens N++ without any problem. Are you sure that the association is set properly? Open your Control Panel and go to Programs (or whatever it is called for file associati...

A full uninstall is not needed, just the clearing of your settings should be enough. Rename/Move the settings folder so you have a backup and NL will automatically recreate the files and folders.

You might want to upgrade to the latest beta version, as there are quite some CPU fixes done. The CPU is always used up to a certain amount due to the fact that NL decodes the parts when downloading, so the file can be reconstructed without the need to decode it afterwards like some other clients do...

1) This should go automatically. If it doesn't, it might be because the par2 files have a sligtly different subject name or something else might be wrong. 2) If you go to the RnE tab, you will see how many blocks are needed to repair the set. Then download as many par2 files as needed. You can see i...

We at the Alpha testing also noticed this strange behaviour and mentioned it to Spiril. Once he has the time, he will work on it ASAP. It should be fixed in the next release.
