Did you check your settings? There is a setting that sets for how long it keeps track of the downloaded files. There is also an option that sets for how many items it keeps track of. The days can be set on settings > Download > Group Caching . The amount of article attachements downloaded can be set...

SS is functioning just fine. Are you running a firewall? Does your ISP allow traffic on port 119?

As articles will be saved in a new way, there will also be a new way to filter them. And that is where the, hopefully, fix will be at.

I already pointed this issue to Spiril, about the high CPU usage when the mouse is in the list view. When you show the old articles too, it won't happen. There is some sort of issue with the filter function. This is with the mouse only. Even if you don't scroll and move the mouse a lot over the arti...

I tried it with my own groups and the page down key, it will eventually scroll too fast to keep track of the screen.

What happens if you move your mouse cursor out of the articles view space? I have it that when I scroll with the mouse wheel and the cursor is in the articles list, CPU usages goes way up, but as soon as I move it outside, e.g. to the Toolbar, CPU usages goes down and screen updates are fast again.

Wine is also for MAC. With the current release of Wine, it runs just fine. Check the "Get NL to run under Wine in Linux" thread for some more info.

You could write a script that checks all that and if none applies, it will shutdown the system. When the queue is empty, you run that script. NL should normally quit when it's done with everything, including RnE.

You can send an email to support at newsleecher dot com with a copy of the receipt when you bought NL, perhaps they can change your email address and reset your members area password. You can also send Smudge a PM, but an email is about the same as he handles most if not all support mail.

Download and open Process Monitor. Put a filter on it so you only see what the process newsleecher.exe does and you will see what is the cause of it. I think your problem is that you have a lot of mp3 files in your download folder. Move them out of your download folder and see if that helps.

Did you change any file locations using the settings dialog or .ini method? If so, remove the .ini file and your other settings. The NL settings files are explained here:

bkfox, your problem is your ISP. It marks the email from Newsleecher as SPAM. See viewtopic.php?t=10937 for a list of providers marking NewsLeecher as spam. I'm sure the others have the same kind of issue, check your spam folder or get very mad at your provider :P.
