Re: Verifying - Unable to stop R&E

Continuing to have the same problem with R&E items stuck on "Verifying". Still cannot stop R&E or exit NL without resorting to End Task... I'm wondering under what circumstances you're having these problems, Doc. I've downloaded about 50 items with RnE since I installed Beta 6. They included videos...

I don't know whether to put this in the Supersearch forum or this one. In the Supersearch tab, I seem to recall that on the previous betas when you expanded a set of numeric .rar attachments (.r00, .r01, .r02, etc.) by hitting the little + sign, the .rar attachment was on top. Now it's on the bottom...

Re: Where did the "Highlight" feature go??

Where did the highlight feature go with the v5 beta? Has it been discarded permanently? If so, I'm out of here!!! You're kidding. You'd drop a feature-rich app like NL because it's missing one feature? I used the highlight feature a couple of times around a year ago when someone mentioned it in a f...

Beta 3 - Teeny tiny complaint about the connections panel

I really should have waited until you put up a Beta 3 sticky, this one will be very low on your fix-it list. On the connection panel on the bottom of each screen, if you mark 2 or more connections to be paused/resumed/reset, only one of them will actually change. It's a minor annoyance, but an annoy...

I thought as much. Could you put it on your "things to do" list?

Thanks for your response.

How can you exclude certain groups from a search?

The progressive rock group is called absm.prog. When I search for it, it also brings in absm.progressive-country. I like progressive rock but I'm not fond of country. Now if I was searching by subject I could search for [prog -progressive] to omit the country music. But that doesn't seem to work for...

JD, the program has many many parts developed over several years. Just because one or two programmers wrote it doesn't mean it's not complex. It's very difficult for a single programmer to test all of the different pieces of a program. He knew he couldn't test everything, that's why he put it out as...

Re: NL 5.0 B1

Ok. Again... How is it possible that something so essential as drag and drop that was functional now it's broken? What type of beta do you release? Please, try to make functional the progam before putting new things. It's... stupid to continue to make a building if you know that some floors are inc...

Re: Missing Message IDs

Searching for 5155 efnet TNG over 1050 days It Show a list I try to select all the large ones and it gives missing message IDs I click through them and then it just hangs. I replicated this problem. I selected a bunch of the messages and tried to leech, I got a message stating something like "One o...

How about a real count of how many objects are left in a SS search *after* you use the filter box to filter them? I'd appreciate that.

For me the RnE isn't working anymore with the Beta. It is initializing files and it starts to verify, but then hangs. When I try to extract, it says "Could not extract set". Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm extracting onto a mediabox over the (home)network. The setting are the sa...

Hmmmm. Should I try to follow your instructions or wait for Beta 2. I'm thinking, I'm thinking!

Just kidding. I followed your instructions and all is copacetic.

Thanks very much for your very prompt response, Smudge. :D

HELP - Problem with connection panel

Help!! I normally have the connections panel set to show the individual connections (4 for one server, 2 for the other). I noticed the new right-click option to put in into "image preview" mode or something like that, so I tried it out of curiosity. Now I can't put it back to showing the individual...

When you use the search result filter you don't get a count anywhere of how many search results are left after you enter terms into the filter box.
This is the only annoying thing about beta 1 that I found after a day of use.

I seriously beg to differ with Nixter about "I have never seen such unwarranted, despicable behavior..." If he really believes that, he hasn't been around much. Or "This is bordering on criminal behavior." Ever try to get support from HP when your laptop is total down? That's criminal. My sub is up ...
