Re: Bring back the poster/group/size toolbar?

Your test is of absolutely no use. It proves or demonstrates nothing. The fact is that local filtering is done on the collection-level. SuperSearch and SuperLeech are done server-side at the article-level. Converting local filters in NL to also use the article-level would potentially require a huge ...

Re: Serious question: what the hell am I paying you for?

I can import the same NZB as many times as I want. No bug. So clearly your assertion that anyone can reproduce it is wrong. It's very possible that it's more elusive and case-specific than you seem to believe. As this post is in the Final Versions section of the forum, it's reasonable to assume you ...

Current versions download the first and last files first.

Multi-"tab" SuperSearch with too many results

When you use SuperSearch and there are too many matches for your query, you get a partial return of results and you are shown a can't-miss modal dialog box that informs you of this. However if you start multiple searches at the same time (for example by clicking on bookmarks), you will never get not...

Re: Bring back the poster/group/size toolbar?

The "vanishing local search" features as you refer to them were all removed as a result of the new grouped-set header cache feature. They can not come back. The old method is obsolete with the new grouped headers. They were removed or changed because they don't work anymore. Not only for technical r...

Re: Bring back the poster/group/size toolbar?

I have read the thread, and as for items *you* mentioned are issues, you haven't mentioned any other than to say you want them back. Whatever they are. What features are missing? All of the advanced search boxes are still available, they're just not in a toolbar anymore. Is it really THAT big of a d...

Re: Bring back the poster/group/size toolbar?

What exactly do you think is missing? All of the search functions available in SuperSearch are also available in the Articles browser. Is your only complaint now that there isn't a toolbar with 100 text box filters and it's now instead a much more reasonable dialog box?

Re: Is Newsleecher Main Site Down?

The site works for me right now. If you can see the Status page, it shows the License Key Generator status as "ERROR" which is likely why you can't complete your registration. It's been like that for at least a week, probably longer.

Re: "Waiting for repair and extract" (NL V7B7)

imho they should toggle this off (false) by default because i think many people have fast systems anyway thse days. You're probably right that the majority of users computers are fast enough, but NL is terribly inefficient in writing downloads to disk and cripples even the fastest mechanical HDD. T...

Nowhere in the post above does it say to use that version. If he said that earlier, obviously that was a mistake.

Re: "Waiting for repair and extract" (NL V7B7)

Advanced Tweaks. [Main Instruction] Download Pause While Repair & Extract [Content] When toggled, this option will pause the download queue, while the NewsLeecher "Repair & Extract" feature is busy with either repairing or extracting a fileset. On slower systems, this might come in handy to keep New...

Re: beta 7_7

Always read the release notes when upgrading to a beta. Beta 1 #: Lots of changes in this beta!. It is highly recommended to make a backup of your NewsLeecher settings and data before installing. The settings / data folder is usually located in the following path : %AppData%\NewsLeecher Beta 5 #: Th...

Re: 502 authentication failed

I am grandfathered in at that price which gives me newsleecher and super search That doesn't sound right. There's no possible way that $2.99 ever got you Usenet access. No provider is that low. The current cost for that here is $9.49 and that's rock bottom . It sounds like you're confused about wha...

Re: 502 authentication failed

Your other thread says you're paying 2.99 a month. That only gives you access to the client (no SuperSearch, and you provide your own server). Whatever Usenet service you were using before has expired. Check the Servers panel on the Manager tab to find out what Usenet service you are (were) using.
