What happens on the main computer when you try to ping ssgen.getmyip.com? Does it time out, or is it unable to get the host IP?

Try changing the setting in Newsleecher, close Newsleecher, move the data files to the new directory manually, and then restart it.

New versions of Newsleecher don't have the "Audio" group, does that group still work properly in old versions?

When you connect the modem directly to the PC, do you use an Ethernet port? The same one that you connect to the router?

I’m going to have to disagree with your assessment of the problem. Limitations don’t just "happen" after a year of use. If everything works fine out of the box, and continues to work fine for an extended period of time, then the issue has nothing to do with a limitation on the router... that makes ...

It's not broken, it's just a limitation of some routers. Your warrantee won't cover it.

Re: Increasing number of incompletes

Why is it, there are an increasing number of incompletes with SuperSearch. When i fetch headers for the same files they are complete. :? I can't say that I've ever seen an incomplete file on SuperSearch myself. But if it is incomplete on SuperSearch and not in your headers it's because they b...

Re: Scoring etc

I'm wondering if it's possible to score articles based on their subject. Say an article has my nick in it, can it be highlighted or scored up or something like that? You can add highlights (Tools>Highlights). It shades items in a different color if they include any string you add. Obviously it only...

thats my point. if anything it should be a limit of 15000 threaded results, but i still dont see why you need a limit in the first place so small especially now we can search 370 days of articles The limit is there for bandwidth control reasons, that's why it doesn't matter what your view settings ...

Re: Process space in 32-bit

Nice to know that it 64-bit will fix this... unfortunately, 64-bit isn't an option for me just yet  fyi, the problem on 32-bit isn't that you don't have all 4 Gigs of RAM (you do, but your video card, etc., has to use some of the address space). On a 32-bit system, processes only get 2 Gigs of...
