Tomik wrote:P.S - I just noticed that the "True" setting for the "Always minimize to System Tray" is lighter color. Could that hint that for some reason it's no applied?
Light gray indicates settings that have changed from their defaults.

Re: Start NewsLeecher minimized to tray

In 6.5, it's under Adv. Nerdy Tweaks, Launch Minimized. Is it no longer there in 7.0?

That post doesn't exist anymore, or was moved and the link never updated.

newsleecher.ini in the same folder as newsleecher.exe. If it doesn't exist, create it.

Re: assign a download to a server

You will only get a damaged file if the same article parts are missing from BOTH servers, regardless of how you set your priorities. So if you are getting damaged files already, they are damaged on both servers. If you have both servers set to priority 1, both servers will download simultaneously. I...

Re: assign a download to a server

Care you elaborate a bit more? Either you didn't explain your desire well enough, or it seems that you are unaware of the server priority options: Set server 2 to priority 2. Done.

Re: Use bookmarks/saved searches after re- install.

I don't know for sure, but logically I would assume you should restore the supersearch.v?.dat file and/or supersearch.v?.cache folder.

Re: Unable To Open Many Downloads

Well none of those things you listed are codecs, they are media players. A codec is behind the scenes. And if none of those players are able to open the video, then it's almost a guarantee that the file is not a video at all. You'll need to be more specific about the *exact* files you are downloadin...

Re: Unable To Open Many Downloads

In MPC, open the options, go to Internal Filters, check all of the boxes in both columns. If it is still unable to play the file, it's probably not even a video at all... What is the file extension of the files that don't play?

Re: Unable To Open Many Downloads

WMP is a terrible video player. Use something else. Try the latest Media Player Classic - Home Cinema edition. Also there are many other codecs beyond XviD. MPC has filters built in for most containers and codecs.

Re: Backup server priority 2

It's unclear what your have your priorities set to for each A/B/C server. If you didn't change the priorities of A and B, and added C as another priority 1 server, then you have: A=1 C=1 B=2 If this is the case, then it will work exactly as you described. Both A and C will download simultaneously, a...

Re: Backup server priority 2

So everything is working correctly and as-intended, based on your setup. This is not a bug. The way priority works is NL starts with Priority 1. No matter how many servers you have set to 1, it will use all connections on all of them to download simultaneously and any articles that are missing from ...
