Is Newsleacher compatibal with Windows 8.1 ??????

I am contemplating getting Windows 8.1, and was wondering if Newsleecher is compatible with Windows 8.1.

No problems at the moment, but I may have to update at sometime.
I am just looking ahead.

Superleech not very consistant.

I am also finding Superleach very inconsistent. For example: 123.S04E. This is not the only title that does not pick up. Using various permutations of the above still does not pick up consistently. By the time that it does pick up, the powers to be have put the voodoo on the post. I am finding that ...

Group Browsing: Filters:Poster Filters:Subject

In Super Search, the Filters:Poster and/or Filters:Subject are not functional. In the Articles Tab they work fine. In fact, they haven't worked in SuperSearch from day 1. There is nothing more annoying than having reams of posters that you have blocked whilst while being in the Articles section. Don...

Font Size

I have just installed version 6.5 Beta 1. Where do you change the font size in Advanced Nerdy Tweaks. I wear glasses and cannot hardly see what is on the screen because the characters are so small, and there is nowhere to change the font size in Nerdy Tweaks. There is a Listview font color but no Li...

Reply To Smudge RE Filters

In SuperSearch I tagged a poster who goes by the name of wladimir. Using the Articles tag, the poster wladimir is blocked, in Supersearch it is not.

Another example is Kim <Jong-Un@town.ag>: Works in the articles tag but not in supersearch.

Poster Filters

Why do poster filters work in the Articles TAB, but not in the Supersearch TAB???. Not that Supersearch does not do it's job, but when you have tabbed a poster in the settings Group Browsing, it works within the Articles Tab but not in the Supersearch Tab . Don't get me wrong, Supersearch is like th...

Use s.s to search for poster

where you enter for a title to search for,but instead you want the poster to search on, try this, for example Poster:billy@thekid.tv In search box replace billy@thekid.tv with whatever poster you wish to find, for example: poster:tom.mix or whatever the posters name is, but, poster: must come before...

6.2 b1 tray icon disappear, broken repair function

Looking at your configuration, you are running Kaspersky Internet Security Suit, and Malwarebytes Antimalware, Comodo Internet Security Suite. I run Kaspersky as well and don't have any trouble at all. It looks like Malwarebites and Comodo or one of them could be clashing with Kaspersky. Just for a t...

Download in groups

If you goto a group with a lot of headers, dowload them at a 1000000 or 2000000 at a time, because at lot of the headers in the 1 billion headers or so, will only be spam, which at the end of the day, will only have been a waste of your time. Or the easiest alternative, is to use Supersearch to find...

Supersearch and Usenetserver

I have been useing Usenetserver since the 22/03/2012 and have had no problems with Supersearch version 5.0 15. I used to have problems now and again when I was with Giganews but since I have been with Usenetserver, all is fine and I use Supersearch most days instead of looking through the groups.

Download Problems ????

I also used to be with Giganews, due cost, I changed to Astraweb. The trouble with Astraweb, was that when all the group headers were downloaded, there was only 30,000. So started looking around for a decent News Group Server, and decided on Usenetserver, costs $15.98 or £8.73 per month. It download...

Memory Leak

I have been useing either the Repair and Extract Function or if I disable Repair and Extract Function and use Par Buddy instead, I get similar memory useage problems. My memory useage goes up from 1.6gb to between 3 and 4gb. Useing Newsleacher to just download items and then extract the download ite...

Can'nt Connect

On the server configuration, on the general settings page for server, try 445 for the SSL port instead of 563. I am on Astraweb as well, and I am using port 445, and items fly down like muck off a shovel. Port 445 on my setup runs faster than port 563.

Good Luck and have fun.

Why Change a Winning Format

I have always stayed with the principle, that if a product is good, why change it.By all means make improvements, but why change a winning formula. I thought that Microsoft were the kings of messing up a winning formula with the regards of a working interface ie: Microsoft Office. prior to Office 7,...
