Under the Active Group tab, click on the button that says "Text Search" and down pops text fields for you to filter to exclude whatevery you want. Also lets say my active group only has messages 10 days old and younger (my server has 21 days retention) and I want days 11-21 is the only way to reset ...

i've submitted a request to the author that he changes the way the key is given to the user. When using the resend key webpage, he should just show it on the page instead of sending it thru email. Who knows if he will do this or if he will just fix this email bug. Hopefully he will do something soon...

NL currently doesn't have multi-user support. Any users that has permissions to the NL directory will see the same groups and have the same settings as the main user. To get around this, you would have to install NL (as an admin of course) into seperate directories. I suggest you install it into the...

His point is that you can install NL to your other drive. No need for it to be installed on your C drive.

Yea, that is a limitation of your newsprovider. (who are you using?)

I use astraweb and don't have a problem logging in from work and home at the same time.

Just another minor req

I would like a setting in the options to view a post headers when reading a text message. Right now when I select a text post to read (CTRL-R) it only shows the text message. It doesn't even show the From and Subject headers so I don't know who it is. I have to go back to NL and read the headers sep...

A couple minor additions

1. Let the OS place the window when starting up. Right now the main application window starts in the top-left corner of the screen instead of letting the OS position the window. Now this isn't a problem for most people but I put my Start/Taskbar at the top of the screen and the QuickLaunch bar down ...

Multiple configs

I would like to be able to save the configuration so that I can load various configs depending on the location/servers/groups/etc that I want to use With Newsbin Pro, I have multiple configs that I can load and it changes all the settings, like the download dir, groups, speed limits, etc. Certain gr...

Failed download in download queue

When I select articles to download and they fail (usually due to a 430 No Such Article), then they stay as OK in the download queue. Assuming to keep them in the queue to be attempted by another server. Would it be possible to flag these files as failed and change the color of the line? perhaps have...

Floating point division by zero

BUG ID: 10030 DATLN1: n111+1m1: 0 - 18995 DATLN2: Floating point division by zero Not sure if it is related but I got this error when I was resizing the Subject column in the Download Queue screen. NL was downloading lots of posts as the time so it is more likely something having to do with decoding.

Try updating a group (not a small group) using a fresh cache (maybe in a diffent fresh install of NL in a different folder or on another drive) and see if the speed improves. Actually it is a fresh install and downloading headers of groups for the first time. I've only been using NL for a day. Just...

Shutdown/Quit Newsleecher when done

I see that it has the option to shutdown the entire computer when the downloads are done, but since I never shutdown my computer I would like just NewsLeecher to quit when done.

Would it be possible to add this option to the "When Empty" menu?

Are there any speed limitations in the trial? I ask because it seems to not be able to download headers faster then 1.5Mbit but it can download articles at the full speed of my connection (3Mbit). The download graph in the corner even has flat peaks right at 1.5Mbit. I don't believe it is my usenet ...
