I've been using supersearch since jan and this is ONLY outage i've noticed since. We have been refunded. I like super search, its retention is good. Yes it does need some work and yes Spiral does know about it, but he (just like you) cant perform miracles. And I would like to see a version 2.5 of ne...

I also dont mind searching through 2 categories to get a file. If you like newsrovers better than you should use it instead of supersearch Grabit is a g...

The problem looks to be like your wanadoo newserver has got bad completion :( The reason supersearch will show them as complete is because it gets its headers from giganews which has suberb retention and completion over 99% and it sends those headers to your pc, however it leeches them off your news...

The retention is good for supersearch, about 50 days, it gets its headers from giganews iirc

More info on what it searches here

The best thing however is that spiral is always updating newsleecher and supersearch :D

Re: Download speed throttling isn't working correctly.

v2.3 beta winxpsp2 registered, new install. The max download speed is set to 18 kilobytes/s but it downloads with 40 kb/s. I would like to post an image but I haven't got a page to post it to. Has anyone got suggestions? Cheers Mudone. Or you could create a geocities account, 25 meg of space there

Yep as Red Dwarf says 6mb connection would be at a maxiumum of about 768KB/s , though you never really get what it says because of overheads, other things your connection is used for and generally just network congestion which causes the speed to fluctuate up and down a bit and also other things suc...
