What has probably happened is a major peice of kit has fallen over and they are trying to get systems back online and then redownload lost headers, putting more strain on other servers which has caused them so many problems

Nope because remember the difference between mbps and mBps. You are on 5mbps which equals around 550KB per second which would take a few minutes for a 50MB file :)

You need your own image space. Then you use the {img} tag, insert the link, then close image {/img} replace { with [

i.e {img}www.theplacewhereyourimageis.com{/img}

How old are you keeping the headers ?

If it is small in comparison to boneless then if you deleted it, it would probably fix it. Obviously you will lose all your headers for that group

Anyway (just ooc), you mentioned before that the NSP might put a low-speed user on a slower server, does this actually happen, or were you just speculating? Sorry I should have rephrased it :), What I meant was if you have been downloading for a long time then you could get locked to a certain spee...

Though if its newsserver based or isp based then spiral doesent have any control of it :)

Sometimes downloades do not pick up if you have been downloading slow for ages...

No I dident mean your ISP's server I meant that if you connected to a slow news server, then your ISP wouldent be able to tell if you was downloading off a slow server or your line couldent support the high speed, must have been a conicidence that you synched at a different speed. Even if a line cannot support a speed, capping cannot fix the problem as it is what the line is physically connected at, so I cant see an ISP doing that. Also if you was connected to a slow server for downloading, newsgroup or ftp etc you would be downloading at what the server can upload at so the ...
