v4 Feature Requests: 3.9 Specify Behavior and Turn Off Grouping

1. Can the v4 final "leech specify" dialog use the "Group Download Folder" from the virtual group properties as v3.9 final did?

2. Can there be an option in v4 final to turn off article grouping?

Re: Leech Specify - Dialog

leifsjensen wrote:The "leech specify" dialog should use the "Group Download Folder" from the virtual group properties as v3.95 did. Now it just suggests the "last used folder".
I second this.

It was working well before I updated to v4.0 b1, then when I reverted it no longer worked. Is there any way to auto populate the download path with the group name? Before v4 I would right click, choose specify, edit the name of the download, click ok, and poof, d:\temp\alt.group.name\download name S...

I agree. I think the issue is that they rely on reports that it is down, or they are remote from the server and need to get to a place to access it. Still, they are still much faster about getting it back up and running than most ISPs or Usenet providers. I am quite sure they are not on site 24/7. U...

Newsleecher Not Creating Directories Correctly

I posted this to the 4.0 b1 thread, then reverted back to 3.95 b3 because there was a persistent bug that made Newsleecher unusable. It'll get fixed, so no worries, it is a test version. However, now that I have reverted back to 3.95 b3, I am having the same issue. So, here it is: I have Newsleecher...

Oops, sorry $4 mistake. I sure hope that doesn't break anyone's bank. Considering that this thread dates back to 2005, and Supersearch was going even before that, it has not been down a lot at all. well over 4 years and this is all we have? Supersearch has a better uptime than my previous Usenet pro...

How many times has it been down in the past year? Not a lot at all, and mostly for maintenance and upgrades. That argument is unfounded, if anything else, for the fact that you and I only pay $25 US a year for a subscription.

I am hoping in the Final version that there will be an option to not use threading.

A lot works perfectly, and it is still the best binary newsreader out there, even in beta stage. There will be bugs, and they will be worked out.
