Also note that you can compact the space between the listview entries by clicking the 'View Compacting" button in the lower right corner of NewsLeecher. Ah yes, forgot about that! That does indeed the trick, I'm getting now a look and feel identical to the previous release by using a custom scaling...

Check out http://www.newsleecher.com/nlufc1301171.exe Settings -> Nerdy -> GUI Custom Scaling Thanks for doing that so fast, it's much better. It's not *quite* as good as being able to choose both the font and its size though. When I set the Scaling to 115, I get a font that's about as legible as T...

But why not bump the Windows DPI setting, so the font gets bigger in all Windows applications ? That would make icons and other stuff too big. For my screen, and my eyes, 125% is just globally perfect, and then each application (Firefox, Newsleecher, etc...) is individually tailored. You can't have...

It's the same.

It's legible, there is no blur, but it's just too small on my 2560x1600 screen to be confortable.

I would really suggest to add back the font size setting in the next beta, I had to go back the previous version.

Font is too small with 6.5 Beta 1

Hi, I'm using a high DPI screen, set at 125%, and the fonts are too small with 6.5 beta 1. With 6.3 beta 2 I was using the Tahoma 10 font, which looked fine, but I can't find this setting anymore with 6.5. It seems odd that I'm having this problem, while 6.5 is touted to be DPI compliant, am I missi...

It seems like it doesn't work when the password is the first listed in the password manager. I'll get it fixed for the next beta. As a temporary work-around, just add a password called ! to the manager to get things working.
That works, thanks for the quick reply!

It happened again with another post. I made a simple test case, creating myself a RAR file, with a simple "test" password (hiding filenames too), and some PAR files. I entered this password in the password manager, and them used the file manager to drop the PAR file in the D&D bar. NewsLeecher was u...

Password manager problem with 6 beta 1

Hi,

The extract engine from Newsleecher 6 beta 1 was not able to extract a passworded RAR archive, even though the correct password was added.

I can't post the details here, but if you need the NZB and password, I can provide them through PM.

I don't use the destination manager either.

I think that, for starters, being able to specify manually a destination path when you create or edit a Superleech item would be really useful. It's a bit of a mess to have everything leeched into the root folder.

Thanks for this great new feature anyway!

I use MultiPAR now instead of NL integrated QuickPAR.

MultiPAR is multithreaded, which makes it MUCH faster on multi-core PCs, and its "call a script when completed" facility allows to do whatever you want, like storing passwords in advance and shutting down the PC.

Better grouping

Some posts are formatted in a way that defeat Newsleecher so useful grouping feature. Here are 2 formats that are not recognized: #P# - "Disk-3.p09" #P# - "Disk-3.p10" and: Your.Highness.2011.UNRATED.BluRay.1080p.AVC.DTS-HD.MA-5.1.r66-CTW Your.Highness.2011.UNRATED.BluRay.1080p.AVC.DTS-HD.MA-5.1.r67...

Unable to Pause for a specified amount of time

For some reason, Pausing for an amount of time stopped working: whether I select an amount of time in the drop down menu, or enters an xx amount, Newsleecher Pause "until manually unpaused". That happened suddenly, without any upgrade (I'm using beta 12) or setting change. Any idea on how to make it...

Please make the auto-show Groups optional

I guess that one can find this option useful, but I find it rather annoying. I have to be very careful not to hover too long on the left panel side when I am about to expand a grouped post, and more often than not, the auto-show kicks in when I don't want it. An advanced option to disable it would b...

Clean-up gone

The clean-up button, which was broken in previous releases, is now completely gone.

That's an useful feature (removing downloaded item from the view), please bring it back!
