Problem with "and" and "or" clauses in supersearch search strings

Post by Arsby »

This is irritating, 3 months ago it worked correctly. There's a work-around, but I wish it would work as it should on the first try.

Search for
mindays:125 (david or john or james)
That works, only those names appear, from day 125.

Search for
mindays:125 ebook and (david or john or james)
Doesn't work, shows every single post from day 125 with ebook in the subject regardless of name. (Changing it to mindays:125 and ebook and... also doesn't work.)

BUT start over and search with
mindays:125 (david or john or james)
so you get every post with ebook in the subject
then without pressing the search key add "and" to it so it becomes
mindays:125 ebook and (david or john or james)
That works!

It would be better if the "or" names were selected at the first press of the search key.
